Exclamation Help with MODS

I need some help with some mod's i am working on.

I want to put the LED's in my map lights, vanity lights, and all my doors. I also want to add them to my tag lights. Any idea where i can get them for a 08 TL 3.2?

Also any idea where I can get a OEM wing spoiler, cheaper then $550 (acura dealership)?

I am deffently going to look into ordering the spoiler, from that curry, and maybe the color-keyed splash guards. I have just the plastic ones now-

The LED stuff is throwning me off though, I am going to have the dealership install them, i thought it was just bulbs that replace the current ones, plug n play- but its looking like these are boards that require more attn?

They are plug-n-play. Just take off the cover, remove the stock bulb and plug in the new LED bulb/board. Careful though don't let the + and - wire touch or you will create a short and blow the fuse. Remove the fuse before you install the LED if you want to play it safe. It happened to me before

By the way, you need an 194 T10 base for the LED board to plug in your dome/map and doors.

^^ they all plug and play, the boards just glue on with double sticky tape... its like 10 min install for everything, dont pay the dealer to do an easy job like that.

VLED's is a great website...

I usually order my stuff from either Superbrightleds or Autolumination (add dot com to both)....

I have had the interior LED's since ~4 years with no issues....

OP please do NOT go to the dealer...this is a very simply install....all you need is a very small flat head screwdriver....

I went with standard 194/168 bulbs, so I didnt have to glue anything and it fits all the sockets perfectly.....This is the size for all your interior bulbs (doors/map/dome/license plate/trunk) for vanity lights I dont know the size, I bought something and lucky enough for me, it fit....

Take some before/after pix

No need to go to the dealer to change your bulbs to LEDs. The only problem that I've heard people having is changing out the mirror vanity lights. I changed to white LEDs and couldn't be any happier. :-D

if you can change a light bulb, you can change your cars interior bulbs.

like everyone said, it's just as easy as popping the cover off (get a flat head, a knife, or a nail file and jam it softly between the plastic cover and the housing and softly pop it off)
taking out the old bulb (some of the bulbs are real small and are in the socket REAL TIGHT. if you run into one, all you do is take some clear tape, cut a small piece out and wrap it around the bulb (let the tape stick to the bulb) and just pull it out. the tape will give you extra grip on the bulb so you can pull it out without your finger constantly slipping on the bulb

i can't imagine someone going to the dealership and asking them "i bought some leds, can you swap these for me?". what would the labor cost for that be? more than what you paid for the bulbs that's probably for sure. not to mention the wait time

with the right knowledge you should, let me rephrase that, YOU WILL be able to do this yourself. a 12 year old could. trust me.

thanks guys for all of your help! I am going to look into the website above to order the white LED's. My TL has been at acura since thursday (8/11/11) and I have yet to get it back, which is delaying everything!

When they installed my new taillights, due to the originales being faulty they broke the corner piece of my bumper on the backside. It was sticking out, and they tried to tell me it was like that and not noticeable! YOU COULD NOTICE IT!
Well I dropped it off and the collison center has been backed up, so I have been driving a 2012 TL TECH loaner car for a week now. Should get the car back tomorrow, or tuesday of next week.

They are fixing the bumper, wetsanding the car where there are rock-chips & scratches, and touching then up with my OEM acura paint/clearcoat. Then they are going to detail the car, and wash/wax/& buff. Hoping it turns out really good!

The car will be going to the tint shop as soon as I get it back, and I am having all of the tint stripped out of the car. The previous owner had 35% installed. I am in GA & thats legel, but I have the medical paperwork to get mine darker. I am getting 15% all the way around with a 5% window strip.

Following that I will tackle the LED's, add the rear type-s signals, spoiler, color-coded spalsh guards, and im not sure what else.

and so ALL of you know, I have a great connection at Acura, so I get all of my labor free. I can get my spoiler installed, LEDS, everything for free... Thats the ONLY reason I Would take it there!!!!

any recomendations on which HID's I can order to go into my fogs? i think i want to get the 5000k so they are white, and not the stock yellow. i looked at VVME.com, just not sure which kit i need to order.

atlBoi-welcome to Acurazine.

In the lower right hand corner of each post, the middle icon is a mult-quote button. This allows to respond to more than one person in a single post. It will save you a lot of time!

Cheers.....

15% will look really sweet, but how will you be able to see at night when you need to reverse in the rain? I have 35% all around on mine and that scenario I had mention makes it hard for me to reverse if there are no street lights around and I'm relying only on my reverse lights. Also, is the 5% window strip in the back or the windshield?

Good shit bro! I want to strip my tints as well i hate 35% they're too light for me. I want to go 5% all around but i want those medical paperwork. Light bothers me at night where i start to catch a headache. Hopefully i get the letter to put darker tints lol. You got my on that!
