Help!! Fitting A spec lip from 07-08 TL to 08 Type-S

I really am distressed and quite confused by what to do. I'm sure this has been asked a million times and apologize if it has but someone please help me. I have a 2008 Acura TL Type-S and I really don't like the the a-spec lip kit that is offered for my car. I feel it is very bulky and not clean looking. I do however really love the look of the 07-08 BASE TL front a spec lips. I am not sure if they are the same as the 04-06's but those are nice as well. So is it at all possible to fit a 04-06 or 07-08 BASE TL A-Spec lip kit on a 08 TL Type-S? I have seen a few photo's of it retro fitted but I am unsure of how expensive that is? I am pretty crafty and have done most of my mods for my car myself, but don't want to risk messing this one up. Does anyone know how much this might cost to have done? If so any recommendations before I go into this. Please help! Thank you everyone.

^^^ Yup swapping bumpers would be the easiest way to do it not to mention the cleanest. If you were to put the base a-spec kit on the Type S bumper your talking about doing all sorts of body work, repainting and shaping etc etc to the apsec kit and I can assure you it wont look 100% perfect.

The only differences between the Type S bumper and base 07/08 bumper is the outter area where the fog lights are they are shaped differently and most people probably dont even know that. Swap the bumper and you will be perfectly happy. Only problem is the lower foglight inserts wont be swappable and the Type S uses the honey comb style to match the upper grill area where as the base doesnt have the honey comb style by the fogs. Not sure how you will get by that.

if you do a complete bumper swap you would be swapping the inserts as well as long as the grill, v grill trim so basically the guy with the base model will have the type s bumper with grill , lower fog trim as well. And the guy eith the type s but base bumper will have the base fog light trims and base grill. The fog like bulbs for both cars are h8 so that should be interchangeable, but if I'm missing anything let me know haha

Ok so what your saying is they will NOT be swapping the plastic grill inserts? If they dont do this then yes its fine but might look a little weird having a Type S with standard lower fog light grill (and not honeycomb), but that might be a small trade off to get this to work right.

We could trade bumpers. I have an 08 NBP. We could just trade and then you wouldn't need to do any modifications, and I've been wanting the TypeS Aspec and I wouldn't cut into my bumper this way. Let me know if you want to.
