Hit a dog going about 65mph earlier today, put a big crack in my front bumper and I also have the a-spec kit lip spoiler. Luckily no humans were harmed, couldn't find the dog - it was a empty stretch of freeway - hope the poor pup is ok. Stopped and made a report - the officer didn't seem too keen on finding the dog either. Neways, so here's the more materialistic stuff.

I could take my car to the "insurance company recommended" shop here in Flagstaff but something in that whole deal doesn't smell right to me. I know they are always gonna try to go cheap on parts or something. So I'd rather go to the best damn body shop that I could find in-town or somewhere near which would be phoenix for me. (just like Longo in LA - the insurance company shop quoted me $3500 for my damaged corolla while Longo quoted $15k which made the insurance company declare the car a total loss and just pay me for the car). Neways so people in and around the Phoenix area please help me out. Spool if ur listenning any good places??? I am going to do the usual call the dealers and ask which body shop they use etc. but if you guys know anything more please lemme know.

my 06 NBP 6MT is only 3 months old and now this!!! I actually kinda feel relieved - I was caring too much for her. I feel the jinx is broken or somethin like that. I'd just like her to be fixed the best she can be.

 

damn 65mph....poor dog,i have two french bulldogs and that just breaks my heart when i hear stories like this

if money were was not an issue, I would just call the acura dealers in phoenix and ask who they use.

If you are looking for some one good with reasonable price.

I would recommand Mikes collision 602-371-1700. ask for mike.

My wife crash my x5 and he fixed it up like new. even got the car detailed throughout.

I haven't really used any body shops here in Phoenix. I believe Acura North Scottsdale would be my first choice. Another buddy of mine has used Select Auto Body (on 7th Ave) in Phoenix and was very pleased with their work on his Bimmer.

 

well money is not an issue since the insurance company will be paying for it . I think the best I have come up with so far is acura of Scottsdale since they r the only acura dealer who seem to have their own body shop. Will let you guys know how it goes. So far it seems like Jason or Sam are the guys to talk to in the bodyshop

Anyhow, I think what you are looking for are the Title 20 Insurance Laws for Arizona

Specifically 20-468a: "A. For repair facilities other than glass repair facilities"
.."a person in this state has the right to choose any repair facility for the repair of a motor vehicle loss."

You can pretty much take the car anywhere you like. However there isnt a provision in the law stating they have to pay the full bill. They can estimate an amount they are willing to pay and you would have to fight for the rest. This really depends on which insurance company you are with though, some fight more than others.

Hopefully your airbag didnt deploy, because that does make a permanant mark in the history of your vehicle that would cause its value to be diminished.
