Smile Hello to my TL, Goodbye to my Altima

The Altima is up for sale, the silver bullet was good while she lasted but now, it's time for her to have a new owner. I would post more pics ot the TL but it's still bone stock and you all know what they look like when they are stock. I will post pics once I start to dump some money into the car.

well, there really isn't any comparisson. Driving the Altima is like driving a metal trashcan with 4 wheels and driving the TL is like losing your virginity again.

LOL

Having had an Altima myself a while back, I could not sum it up better.

The car I had before my TL was a 2002 Altima SE. I had modded it a little with the following;

o Frankencar intake system with Apexi dry element filter.
o UR underdrive crankshaft pulley.
o Full Mossy stainless steel catback exhaust.
o Magnaflow 4"x22" round resonator.
o Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 225/50WR17 tires
o Next in line was the software upgrade to do away with the throttle hesitation, but I never got there.

These cars were having problems with their MAFs and some other things as well. Like the precats on some were self-destructing and some of the catalyst material was getting drawn back into the cylinders and screwing up rings and other internals. This started with the 4-cylinder engines then moved to the VQ sixes.

Quality concern was the reason why I opted to get the 02 Maxima SE rather than the Alitma 3.5SE. Outside of a blown MAF sensor early on, my Maxima has been trouble free in the 4 years I've had it. (not a rattle or buzz to be heard)

Nice migration and congratualtions! I to made the jump from an Altima (2k3 2.5S) to the TL. Though I miss the bigger interior of the Altima, I don't miss not having Navi and a boomin sound system (though the Altima's was nice)
