Hello All - New Guy with TL

I'm new here, this is my first time making a thread without even having a car in my possession!

Tomorrow Monday, I'm piking up a 2007 TL Base with Navi and all the goodies that comes along with it.
Its silver with tan interior, the car has 62K miles on it, I went to check out a different one and this was traded in for a newer version of TL..

The car had all service done at Acura dealer, the Manager of Acura came out and talk to me about the car, i said the car has so many nicks and dings, also tires are bad, and so on,

After talking to him for few minutes, seemed like a really good guy and also offered me a job lol no its ok... I like my job.

so this is what is gonna be done to the car when i pick it up on monday,
new tires all around,
new brakes all around,
front and rear bumper will be painted
all nicks and dings will be fixed
also engine fluids will be replaced, engine oil, transmission oil, brake fluid and radiator, I also requested for new battery.
I hope to get this car, they want 13500 for it, and i will also get 2 year or 100k miles warranty on the car.! feeling exited, by coming from Audi A4 that was a pocket pit!

I'm in to car audio and love sound quality HIFI audio so this car will be no different

That's an exciting day, congrats. It's nice that you got them to fix all that for you and not upcharge.

Physically check all these items yourself when they're done. sometimes people like to say they did something when they didnt.

When did you talk to him? Depending on when this conversation took place, I question that they will have repainted bumpers for you in a day.

That's several thousand dollars worth of work, so if it's true, that's awesome... Check to make sure they did what they say they're going to do.

^+1 exactly what I was thinking. They might just use touch up paint.
But, I would love to be proved wrong. Post pics tonight when you get it!

Thats not even close to even two thousand especially when they're doing the labor.

Look at this way, when the individual traded the vehicle in I betchu that the dealer raped the guy with the value of the car with the same questions the OP is giving the dealer now. The dealer isn't losing any money off of this. They're just losing the like 1k out of the 3-4k profit they're making. It is even worse if the car was bought at an auction. :x

As far as hid fog I would go with TRS (The Retrofit Sources) 3five h8, it will save you a lot of time later and their kit is a good quality too.

There's something seriously wrong with your new car.

It has the completely wrong shifter

Nice ride, nice colours, hope you enjoy it, but I can assure you that the 6MT would bring more smiles!

I know tell me about and thank you,, having Audi A4 manual with 24lb boost, APR stage 2+ clutch, full system exhaust, cold air intake, short shiftier was a joy of a car

Dont get me wrong, great car, but i couldn't keep up with it.. to much stuff going wrong with, from flap motor, to intake, to oil cooler, to valve cover, leaks and than yea go figure something else is always gonna go wrong, Great car, but not for my pocket pit! I got myself in to car audio system, and this what i have enjoyed the most about this car, it was special, unique and something that people hated and some loved it. I truly enjoyed it.

If any of you guys need any info on car audio or setups, dsp, amps, speakers, head units, wires, and other stuff, please feel free to contact me i'm always helping out...

So yesterday after driving the car for few days, I noticed some things that were wrong with it, and I took it back to a dealer, not only I had to drop of some more paper work, but I wanted to get my stuff sorted out with the Bob, the Garage Manager

He was very nice and when he seen me walking with a sheet of paper and bullet points to point out what needs to be done, he had no idea i new more about cars than he suspected.
I got 2014 loaner for the time being, 3.7L that thing moves! hands down! but i hate the back of that TL, looks like a spaceship to me!

So they never did a alignment, - will be completed today,
I found 4 more dings that were not pulled, and they are being done today as well
I told him about brakes, I cought him by his words, he said the car was serviced at that dealer, and he sees the history, so i asked him to pull it up, and brakes were never replaed so he will be replacing brakes.
Tires were done, but really bad balance on them, the car shakes on the HW.

I said i want a safe car, no a car that i have to put money in to it as soon as i get it.
I told him, once i come and pick up the car, I will make sure to check everything, and he goes, I know, Will take GOOD Care Of You!

I told him thank you, and politely said this should have been done when i got the car, and your mechanic should have taken it for a drive test and test everything.

Probably figured you for an average Joe and wouldn't recognize work not having been done or that once you drove off the lot you wouldn't be back.
Unlike members here on AZ and other forums/boards, not everyone is an enthusiast.
Hope they take care of all these items for you.

It really makes me sad that people at dealers truly don't care about the brand, and would rather make a dollar than a brand loyal customer.
Like I stated earlier, people lie to make you go away when they think they can't get away with it.
