Hello Acurazine! (An Introduction)
Hi guys!
I'm new here. I have always loved Japanese cars… and finally got around to getting one – my first car!
It's a 2005 NBP 6MT. A few scratches here and there, but I love it otherwise (and it came clayed and waxed)! I have yet to replace the fluids, but I am off-limits until I pay off my portion of this car (a few months at least).
When I was 10 years old, I used to read about Scion mods on scionlife.com (I used to be hooked on Scions; I visited every booth of theirs that was around!). It's so cool to finally have my own car, and boy do I love it.
I'm afraid my history of reading has already made me want to mod this thing a bit. I can't see myself dumping too much money into it, though – I'm already happy with the performance, and it is not cosmetically perfect (I need a new shift knob and passenger's side taillight, as well as a dent fixed and some scratches fixed), so that's where most of my money will go. I'm already interested in a USA-SPEC box as the first "mod".
If you have any mod suggestions on the cheap (don't want to throw a number out since that is quite limiting, but anything that is relatively inexpensive for a 17 year old), I'd love to hear them.
As for this community: you guys are awesome. I've been searching around, and can't find a question I have that isn't answered here. The close-knit nature is also a big plus!
Oh, I bet you want pics. Here:

Welcome! Good to see another fella from CO on here.
If you don't want to spend much money modding your car, stay away from the photo gallery! You'll end up with a mod list longer than your Christmas wishes of 99! Lol!

Welcome buddy, nice whip. looks good, and yes mods are inevitable. Drop first (may i suggest a real set of coilovers, not just the coil part.) maybe some little things like window visors, make it clean! Also the A-spec lip kit looks great...definitely a plus. Most importantly do it your way, and have fun with it. Acura did an outstanding job with this car..

Welcome, a very nice way to spruce up the rear end of the car would be to buy yourself some:
And scrub those exhaust tips with a towel, sock, etc. If the tarnish is stubborn use 800/1000 grit sandpaper and then polish by hand once you're happy with the results.
