For headlight restoration, try 3M
Hard to quantify. Mine were quite yellowed, mostly the driver side as it's most often the case and I remember saying "Ah!" when I got done and saw them at night. But then I quickly grew used to them. It's not day and night but it is definitely noticeable if they are heavily UV faded. Something else to consider is that the cutoff became sharper too as the light didn't get diffused as much.
I did my first restoration for this exact reason in my wife's Honda. It made a huge difference but it all depends on how bad your lights are hazed over. Hers were pretty bad and this really helped. I did my TL mainly for aesthetics
Just re-did my headlights with the Sylvania headlight restoration kit. That kit seemed to have the best reviews off Amazon and I had great results with it, it came with EVERYTHING. Also used the XPEL headlight protection kit bought off Amazon and that was super easy. Came with foglight and side mirror turn signal film as well, which I put on too. Took me minutes to apply the film with a hairdryer, watched a video on their website which helped a lot.
Would definitely recommend using a headlight protection film. Used the Wipe New restoration kit on my headlights awhile back and that did not stand up to the elements.

So I'm about to pickup the 3M kit to finally restore my headlights since I got the car 1 year ago (looks all nasty hazed/yellowed).
So now I'm trying to decide between different options for protecting the headlight from further damage (since otherwise I read ppl saying the haze/yellowing may come back within 1 yr)
Liquid/pour-on types: Meguiar's, Opti lens, and various other branded "headlight protectant/sealant"
Film-types: Lamin-X (has read some good things about this here), local window tint shop per poster here.
Lamin-X has a 7 year warranty so that seems quite reassuring and they do sell precuts for the 3G TLs......
Is there a definitive solution to what is best way to protect the headlight after restoration?

My headlights were pretty rough and hazy, just purchased the TL and I had retrofitted projectors in my Tacoma. Was disappointed with the he lack of projector cutoff. Cleaned them wit the he 3m kit and bam my cutoff came back and the lenses came out looking brand new.
Nice. Definetly need to do this. I was at the store the other day and decided I would research which one to go with. Looks like im going 3m also going to get the clear bra kocyk123 suggested in his thread
So just found a nice video on youtube by ChrisFix, a well known community DIYer in the auto world with a headlight restoration video:
He used basically retail bought tools for restoration.
But the sealant he used is the Rustoleum Plastic Clear Coat/Gloss spray:
Amazon.com: Rust Oleum 280702 American Accents Ultra Cover 2X Spray Paint, Gloss Clear, 12-Ounce: Home Improvement
Good infirmation for those out there.
I may try to tackle this soon.
