Headlight question.

So I want to experiment with my headlights, so is it safe to use my oven that I use on a regular basis to cook food??

neighbor says it is not safe at all and im not sure if he knows since he has never baked headlights.

I baked an old set the other night and my food tasted just fine 30 mins later when I cooked.

Uhhh, yeah, the same oven. Unless you've got one of those "for headlights only" ovens in the garage.

Dadon-yes, you can use a regular oven. I've done it-if you're baking your headlights to clear them, bake them for 20 minutes at 200 degrees. Bake your headlights one at a time.

I've seen such erratic temperatures and times for baking lights... Anything from 150 to 260deg and times of 5-25 mins. I put my old Denji glass ones from my accord in for 8 minutes @ 225F and the glue had softened enough that I could get it started with a screwdriver and just pulled them apart by hand (with gloves) and using a razor to slice through the glue quickly.

I did what Tehvine said.. I baked for about 8 minutes at 200, just enough to get them started and cut the glue. I then put the housing back in after I got them apart to heat up the old glue, so it could be removed
