Headlight out of adjustment
Headlight out of adjustment
I noticed tonight the driver side headlamp shines down onto the road whereas the passenger side shines more straight ahead.
I know they do this from factory on the NSX to help eliminate blinding oncoming traffic and was wondering if it is the same with the TL?

I find it very annoying. Just picked up my car on Wednesday and drove at night for the first time yesterday. The driverside light is significantly lower than passenger side. I'm going to take back for adjustment...
You can adjust them yourself. It's quite simple. I did the first night I have my TL.. just a little to get a bit more light spread around the driver's side. I have only had one vehicle flash me and that was because I was cresting a small hill.
Where I live we have so many four-legged car killers (mostly white tail deer) that you need as much light as you can put on and down the road to protect your car.

I believe its just the matter of turning a screw behind the headlight, once you open up your hood, you'll see what I am taking about, if I am not mistaken, there is writing on the plastic that says headlight adjustment. could be wrong though.
Open you hood and locate the two forward plastic covers, one in front of the battery on the driver's side and the passenger side has one in the same position. They are right behind the front of the car as you view it with the hood opened.
You'll notice two holes in the same position on each cover with Up" and "Down" and direction arrows indicating this on them. Using a flashlight, look into the holes from the engine side at an angle out towards the wheel well and you will see what looks like an aluminum colored castle nut. This is the adjusting nut. Just insert a phillips screwdriver into the hole and turn in the indicated direction for the adjustment. You'll probably have to apply a little insertion force in order to turn the nut and watch closely on your target wall to see the light raise.
Hope this helps.
