Headlight mod

What do you guys think of this possible headlight mod? I know I used ms paint, but I can cut out clear bra, then paint it black... I just dont feel like clearing the headlights right now.
So what do you think, is it rice or nice?

rice... i parked next to another TL one day and he had tinted the headlight n made a cut-out for the projector beam and my 1st thought was - either tint them all the way or leave them until you are ready to clear... mine are tinted if u wanna check out my c/d page to give u an idea.

Is this what you were referring to?

This is what my headlights look like now... in the instance i mentioned above, the guy had a gold TL, with the headlight tint that I have, but he cut around the projector beam so that part is clear (THAT'S Ugly!) but If u meant tinting the whole headlight... I would go for it... -lol- I'm getting mine blacked or cleared next week or so maybe, I'll keep u posted. Hope this helped. Theres more pix on my C/D if u wanna see dif. angles.

I ment cutting the pattern for the beam out, the tint takes away alot of the lighting from the hid's. Your tint looks good

JOey how do the HIDS look with the tint? do they still project the same amount of power? I was looking into doing it but I didnt think it was convenient since I have my windshield tinted

3 options:

Leave it alone

Tint it all the way

Open them up and black it out

i think that it must greatly decrease the output of the bulbs. I like the smoked look, so i took my headlamps apart and painted.

If you have ur w/s tinted I would advise you to either (a) not tint the heads or (b) tint them and install brighter HIDs. They do decrease the output but i live in NYC, every street is lit and theres always light around me. The decrease isnt as bad as ppl think, but if you live in a place that doesnt have streetlights everywhere (like when i lived in Orlando), it can be frustrating - but I got used to it. I'm looking to either buy brighter, bluer HIDs but idk where to find them. I will be either clearing, blacking out, or color-matching my headlights soon, though. I've had the tint since I got the car n it doesnt do anything for me anymore..

I have 6000k bulbs in the headlights n I have 6000k in the foglights. i think everything in front of me is well lit... but then again I may have a problem seeing with the combo of the window n headlight tinted...until i get the type s bumper and put some hids in the foglights
