Headlight guru's.. i need your help!

So, im getting ready to black out my lights again, but i want to do something better this time for the my blinkers/low beams. Preferably LED, as halogen bulbs looked like shit @ night.

i've followed threads and im pretty aware that you have to solder or melt in LED turn signals. (atleast the switchbacks)

any other possible LED turn replacements that DONT require melting the socket, or adding sealant around the bulb housing ?

kennedy, rodneyc77, jptl04.. i hope you guys will chime in , i know you've done it

I thought you didnt need any extra adjusting for LED bulbs? Just a relay or whatever they're called to slow down the blinking?

Well, the question is what do you exactly want? DO you want to stay legal with the Amber signals or go with the White ones? Also are you blacking out the housing or clearing it? I would also look at some WDP's on the site for some good idea's on the headlights. BTW, look in the headlight section in the group buy section of the black market, there was one WDP with some awesome headlights.

Ill be blacking out. I blacked out my old ones and did it a couple of times for people, but we always used standard bulbs....and they werent bright enough. so i wanna use LED's. i honestly dont care about the switchbacks that much....

all the turn signal replacements i found online state that they wont warrant the bulbs if its in the headlight housing. which means the extra heat must cause quicker wear. i dont want to have to change my LED bulbs every two months, especially if i have to solder/melt/or seal the turn signal bulbs into the housings.

so what i really want to know, has anybody used LED turn signals that dont require retro-fitting AND dont burn out every 8 weeks.

Hey Allon... what's going on??? You've been real quiet lately...

Look at post number 18 in the following link... We had a member request the same thing...

http://.com/forum/showthr...?t=2269&page=2

Good Luck...

FYI... I've had the LED's in my car for months with no issues as of yet... LED's should last longer than regular halogens....

The following should work well...

1. SMT TOWER II - 24 High Powered Wide Angle SMT LEDS - 7443 Bulbs from autolumination.com - http://autolumination.com/7443_7440.htm (second bulb description on the page - 7443 BULB) - 2 each. - $24.99 per each

2. Load Equalizers - 6 OHM DELUXE ALUMINUM - 2 each - $6.99 per each
Wiring diagram - http://superlumination.com/images/leds/installation.jpg

3. I would also recommend that you purchase the warrantee - http://autolumination.com/warrantee.html - 'cause you don't want to get the bulb and it's received and it doesn't work... same thing for shipping insurance http://autolumination.com/special_shipping.html

Good Luck with your install...

bout to order mine...

question.. on your switchbacks... are those hyperwhite/amber ... or blue/amber

i love the way your corners look. the switchback isnt too important to me, but i like the color/effect you get with your parking lights.... matchs the HIDs perfectly

I'm almost positive he has hyperwhite/amber and he has 10kHID's I remember him saying once that they wouldn't match the stock HID's but I dont know if he was talking about his Fogs

that is correct... thank you my fizzle...

they are hyperwhite/blueish and amber... but they WILL NOT match the factory HIDs... actually they wouldn't match 4300K or 6000K ... 8000K was close but 10,000K hit that color the closest...

Hey Allon... let me know if you need info on my HID connect... later
