HCV Cable

Hey how is everyone. I was reading up on what's going on with my 07 TL not getting adequate cabin heat and it led me to a few threads regarding the HCV valve. Just wondering if you could help me out. I found that the HCV valve is not ceased, leaking or broken because when I removed the cable and moved the valve by hand the heat inside vehicle got warmer and colder accordingly. What I did find though was that the HCV cable was not going in and out of its housing; in other words that cable or whatever it connects to seems to be seized. Where does that cable go? To the air mix motor? And if that is what is causing this, where is it on my car And what do I have to do to fix it? I'd appreciate if you guys could help me out. Thanks
