Anyone ever towed their TL using a tow bar?

Looking at getting my trans rebuilt but need to get my car over to mechanic.
I looked at a dual axle open trailer but I might go over the towing limits of my Honda Pilot.

another alternative would be to rent a tow dolly from U-Haul.

$50 for a uhaul dolly rental seems cheaper than a tow bar.

Wasnt sure the cost to rent a dolly was that inexpensive.
The tow bar I can get for 100 bucks since my neighbor is selling his ( exact model in the pic i linked)
