Has anyone HID lights be stolen before?
Just curious to know if any 3G TL owners have experienced this problem? Also, would the factory alarm activate if someone tries to steal them? Thanks.

knock on wood I havent had any experience on getting my HID stolen....had hub caps on my older car tho...hopefully the alarm does go off. Just dont let me catch the thief that stole or is tryin to steal my stuff or else you would get the beating of your life...
One of the things why I dont buy from an authorized dealer such as ebay since their stuff are doubtful, espeically auction sites most of them are stolen....they just give bs reasons for selling the product.

our headlamps cant be stolen and kept intact. but realistically, it doesn't make a difference. our projectors alone are one of the most valuable on the retrofit market and bulbs/ballasts are not damaged when ripping the housings out. even for a damaged set of headlamps with hid ballasts/bulbs the set would go for about 400-500 on ebay.

I agree with the above poster. When the lights are stolen, they typically want the insides, and they adapt them to fit in their Civic or something like that. I used to see and hear lots of cases of stolen headlights when I was on the Audi forums. So many terrible pictures where the thiefs would pry the hood and qtr panels back with a pry bar like a can of tuna. Horrible!
Back then I search and found web sites on how to convert Audi A6 headlights to fit on a Civic. Total hack job with glue and all sorts of weirdness, but they were doing it.

They stole the headlights out of my 04 Lexus RX330, causing $5500 in damage. They f!@?ed up my hood, front bumper, and both fenders. Made my truck look homeless and abandon when you can get the HID kit for $350 from Excelerate on the blackmarket forum.
