Has anyone got the letter of safety recall?
about Second Gear Inspection~
certain operation conditions can result in heat build-up in the transission second gear set on certain 2000-2004 TL vehicles. this could result in gear tooth chipping or, in very rare cases, gear breakage. Gear failure could result in transmission lock-up and a crash could occur without warning. In most cases, abnormal transmission noise will indicate a problem.
Just wanna ask, anyone got this problem????

Many ppl have received the letter of recall, Canadian or US. Most of dealers would do the VIN check and inspect for you although you don't receive the letter.
