handsfree link

so i finally got myself the motorola v600 yesterday and the hfl works great!
the only problem i saw was that my battery life was drained after a day of using this phone. i don't know if it's because i kept the bluetooth link on my phone on all day or i have a faulty battery. any ideas? i'm guess leaving the bluetooth on drains the batteries like crazy and that i should invest in a car charger.
other than that, i would recommend v600 to everyone.

motorola always has a short battery life. I would suggest ya use a car charger for your V600... there is another power outlet under the middle arm rest compartment.

I have SE T630 and I always use the car charger.

Well, the specs on the phones say...

Talk time: Up to 7.5 hours
Standby time: up to 10 days

I probably got, 40 min talk time and 19 hours standby. not even close to the specs.

I have the S/E T616 and the battery life is pretty good even with the Bluetooth on but none of the phones, IMO, get the battery life that is specified for them. I can tell you that with the Bluetooth on the battery life on my PDA (Tungsten 3) is really shortened.

Bluetooth devices actually transmit a low bandwidth 2.4GHz wave. In order any device to support such a wave it means considerable power consumption, so it makes sense that your batter is drained out faster than without the use of Bluetooth.

Now, I have a question: I use V600 as well, but I have noticed that when the phone is closed (clamshell design), I can receive the phonecall 0n HFL, but when I try to answer, i get disconnected. The only way that I can answer the call is only if the phone is extended. Has anyone of you guys noticed anything similar?

It is the bluetooth. HFL sucks. I went back to a headset and now my V600 lasts for days on a single charge
