Angry Hail Storm!

My wife was out in the TL when a hail storm came by this evening. Everyone OK but: plenty of small dents on hood, roof and trunk.
I would rather not put another claim on my insurance (last claim in Nov. for seeing the bottom of a ditch during a snow storm, total $1000 for new bumper).
Anybody every use the Paintless Dent Removal services?

I used one recently for a shopping cart ding, and the results were phenomenal. I cannot find a trace of the ding which was about 4" long on the fender between the wheel opening and the front door.

Hail dings are supposedly harder to get out, and if there are enough of them, the cost might be pretty high.

I found my dent repair guy by checking with some good body shops for a recommendation. You might do the same and see what he can do for you and at what price.

Well, I bucked up and called the insurance company. There was also a star in the windshield near the headliner we had not noticed.
Because the hail damage is under my comprehensive the agent said it will not count negatively towards my rates.
The star in the windshield was fixed, rather than needing a entire windshield replacement. We can still see some hairline cracks on the inside but the outside looks good.
We now have to go to the auto body shop and let them work their magic.
So, I am out my $500 deductible and hope my rates don't go thru the roof.

They do not go up on your rates if you are not at fault. Not like you ran a stop sign and hit someone... If your car was hit and run 3 times in one month they do not go up on your insurance...

^^^ Agreed... Rates will not increase whatsoever. I've been hit 3 times.... 2 times, both of the cars were totaled. I didn't pay a dime and rates never increased. Also, 3 weeks ago, I had a deer try to jump my car, but landed on my hood and slid off. After coming to a stop, had a 2nd deer run into my back passenger door (huge dent). My insurance company said my insurance rates will not be affected.

Got mine tore up in a hail storm last summer(6 days after purchasing car). Damage to roof, hood, rear trunk deck and right side of car. Insurance wrote a $4500 check on the spot to me(since I owned the car outright) and I ended up paying $1800 for paintless dent removal(awesome job, no dings leftover at all) and another 4 or 5 hundred for trim piece replacement around the right side doors....pocketed the rest and since it was claim against comprehensive my rates did not go up a dime!....Do the dentless and report it to your insurance.

That is why I am trying to hold on to my Mazda Millenia for the rainy days with the hail storm possiblility. I have someone who wants to buy the Millenia offering good money, but I do not know if I would not rather wait through the hail storm season.
