Doesn't the link in the first post work to purchase them? From reading up on them, they seem like a good alternative to hids, especially for those of us looking for just a color match to the headlights.

Can you guys post pictures of the xenonmatch bulbs during the day and night? I'm interested, just want to see how they look on the TL before I pull the trigger.

To follow up on a question from earlier...After installing some HID fogs from HIDExtra on my 07 type s, my passenger side fog lens now has some condensation/fog in it, on the top half only.

I tried taking the bulb out just now and getting a hair dryer aimed in there to try to dry it out, no luck so far. Anyone have any quick help while I still have access to in there before I put it back together? Also, it has looked exactly like this since soon after I put them in, hasn't gone away and come back or anything, just consistently looks like this.

Bad ass. Thanks man. This looks like it's gonna be alot better than buying HID's and having to remove the bumper and run wires, ballasts, relays, tapping and splicing into wires.

Hmmm... Is it possible to wire the fog lights (stock fogs / hoen bulbs, NOT HIDs) to have the ability to turn them on whenever you want, even when your headlights are turned off?

Anyone know?

no problem, i always have pics handy cuz i document everything i do to my car.

i went this route cuz of exactly what you said, i didn't want to do any of that other work since i rarely use fogs.

there is a way to wire the fogs so you can have them independent but not sure how to do it...search for independent fogs or something similar

I think there was a thread in the 3G garage where you can operate the DRL and the Fogs without the headlights....some kind of bypass....

Lemme try to find the link....will PM it to you and post it here...

For my '05, are these Hoen bulbs the most practical plug-and-play fog lights I can get? Not looking for aesthetics or installing independent fogs, or doing any modding, just want to maintain the stock appearance while improving road visibility when I need them. V-LEDS lists their LED bulbs as strictly for aesthetics... Any help please?

Thanks!

From what I've read (not just here on acurazine, but other forums like bmw and audi) everyone has said that hoen xenonmatch bulbs are weak when it comes to light output. Everyone says it's only for aesthetics and looks, the light output is very weak since the headlights are already on.

So it seems if you are looking for something to help with road visibility your only option is a pair of 35w HID bulbs

You would most likely get a DRL error light on your dashboard, and the LED will only illuminate 50% of it's actual brightness.

These will get rid of the DRL error and allow the bulbs to run at 100% brightness though

Before I got the TL i had the same issue with my maxima. What i did was run a relay switch into the cabin of the car. Set up a ground which i connected directly to the battery (had its own independent fuse) Its a pretty simple set up. You would have to also cut the fog wire which is connected to the headlight (not 100% sure on the TL set up)I wish I had taken pics when i did it. If i go to auto zone sometime this week ill take pics of what you'll need. as long as you have basic electrical knowledge you should be good. Hope this helps...Also, i will be doing this on my tl but i just got it so going to do a few mods first before setting up the relay switch. If you dont have it set up by them ill try to get as many pics as i can for you.

So I have an 07 TL-S and I'm looking at replacing my HID fogs with the Hoen xenon match. I'm not into the yellow fogs and it sounds like the xenon match are the best for white color to match the headlights. Anyone have any opinions on a different brand? I'm looking to get away from hid because I don't think I want to mess with the relay harness and all that, plug and play bulbs seem safer and easier.

Another popular bulb is the Nokya Artic Whites. I have them and think they match pretty good but curious how they compare to the Hoens.

sockr1-Thanks for the pics. How close do the Hoens match the oem HIDs? From the pics the look like a perfect match.

The hoens match pretty well with the HIDs but they are not an exact match. They are much better than seein the stock fogs though and don't stick out like a sore thumb. I think they are a good, not perfect, alternative to HIDs and the best part is plug and play since I don't want to mess with any wires

I'm torn...$25 shipped on eBay for the nokyas or $39 shipped for the Hoen. Sounds like neither is the perfect match, so maybe I should just stick to the nokyas. Decisions decisions.

I went with hoen because it seemed like most of the people I talked to or researched had the hoen over the arctic whites. So I followed the crowd haha. If you do go with the nokyas let me know how they are!

That's pretty much what I had found too. The only negative thing I found about the Hoen's was potentially weaker lights output than stock, but I don't really think the stock put out a ton of light either. I basically just want the color to look nicer while still putting out a decent amount of light (thus no LED fogs for me).

Do you happen to remember how quick the shipping was for the Hoen's?

Yea I agree with what you say there about the hoens. I think the shipping was pretty quick if I remember correctly. A few days I think

I like the Nokya Artic Whites, however from the side angle they look way to blue and kind of ricey to me.

I think I would go with the Hoens as well.

Question: drl is hb3 12v 60w, fog is hb4 12v 51w.
Can you put the same type of bulb in but slightly different wattage? Say 65w instead of 60w for the drl. How vital is the wattage matchup?
