guys pls take a look at this...
just bought my 05 tl for less than a month, didn't notice this until today...
is this because someone was trying to break into my car? has anyone seen this before? is it possible to fix it by myself, or do I have to go to the stealership?

Thats inside of the car..
IMO goto the dealership and see what they can do if its like 30-50 bucks i'd say go wit em but if its 100-200 try to fix it yourself looks like u jus gotta pop it back into place
i jus startd noticing problems wit mine...and its 2 years after lol

i traded my CTS for my TL and it lookd good but i didnt notice alot of shit
first was my paint startd to peel n shit then i noticed a bunch of scratches on the bottom of the rear bumper and a bunch of random scratches on pillars between the doors
the previous owner really beat the shit outta my tl but now its loving arms and slowly being fixed

It looks like the only thing wrong is the door panel isn't attached. There's a thread on removing it somewhere.....give me a second.

Putting it back on is very simple. I had to do it once to the driver front door and it literally pops in place. Don't waste money going anywhere to get it put back on.

AMEN brother same thing that happened with me. My TL got the shit beat out of it. But now I am maintaining her well and keeping her safe.

looks to me like 1 of two things.
1. The spring clips let go and it popped up
2. (this is possible with no tint) The UV Rays have warped the panel and popped it out.
See if u can push it back into place.

Are your speakers stock? Has anyone ever had the door panel off to do modifications to your knowledge? I would follow the instructions in the link provided by Rob RiL and try to secure the interior door panel.
Not to hijack the thread, but can you talk a little about why you got rid of the CTS and how it compares to the TL? I had eliminated the CTS when I bought my TL based on Consumer Reports reliability data and my own experience with the outstanding Honda reliability.
