This guy wanted some...
He was driving a red 2004 Volkswagen R32. Unfortunately, I couldn't test my TL against his ride since I was already running late for a date and he decided to turn in the opposite direction.
I've never heard of this car before. Are they quick? His sure made a lot of noise out of the pipes! Haha! I looked it up on Edmunds and although it's got AWD and 240 hp, it appears to weigh about the same as a TL...which is interesting since it's so tiny.

R32
I saw the R32 at the Philadelphia Auto Show last year, pretty nice. As far as I know, it replaced the GTI (possible the Golf too) as VW's hatchback car. That's all I know about it.

Its possible for that car to beat a 6MT TL. However, I seriously doubt there it will "smoke" it...

vs

12.9 lbs/hp
oh, it will definitely handle exponentially better, though.

the r32 is not that fast, i mean its just about the same performance as the TL. i think its great that the TL performs similar to the r32 because the TL is a much bigger car. the R32 is a small compact ride.

Personally. I'm not going to race anyone with my TL on the road. Too many chances for something to go wrong. Heck just a ticket for racing in New Jersey can result in a loss of license. Never mind the increase in insurance rates in the state with the highest insurance rates in the country.

No it’s because they are limited production vehicles. If you guys knew anything about this car or even driven one you would not be bad mouthing it. One of my Car and Driver mags has an article about so I will try to find it and scan it in for you guys.
These cars can be made really fast really easy so don’t always count on it being stock. Also don’t even think about trying to race one in the twisties. The car handles really well.
