Okay. Got one problem figured out. The whining noise was just my microphone picking up the noise of the engine and playing it over my speakers...I know that sounds really weird. But when I turned the sound up pretty loud I heard a high pitched noise that matched my engine hum. Then when driving it made the same noise. Turned the sound off, whining stopped.

Now, I think I am going to try to pull the HFL fuse, reset the thing. From what I can tell it is stuck thinking I am entering a voice command. If that doesn't work, I read a tip saying to unplug the battery and touch the cords together for 20 seconds to reset the system. It will ask me for my radio code, which I have. So I will probably give that stuff a try in the morning. Hopefully it doesn't warrant an angry trip back to the tinters, because they claim zero liability for everything.

I can only imagine at this point that a little bit of water got on the fuses and just caused it to malfunction a little. Idk. Wish me luck.

 

Congrats on the tint, the appointment for my new to me TL is soon! Tint can never come to a fishbowl soon enough. lol

Hey all, sorry for the lack of updates! I was down in LA, I just got home last night. The tinting looks great! Darker than I had planned, but I like it nonetheless. Hopefully the cops don't have it in for me. The car is pretty dirty from driving 500 miles, so I am going to clean her up this morning real nice, inside and out. Might even wax it for the first time!
