they share similar shape but on the trim part that connect the windows and mirror is different.... and it'll cost more to modify them than to get the entire assembly.... my unit came in a bit later than expected.... according to the shipping log, it should arrive tomorrow..... if not, Tim, you'll be expecting my call I can't wait to get them and slap them on

Well, fellas..... here is the pix of the part that just arrived today:

I'm gonna have it installed tomorrow.... I'll keep everyone posted For sure these mirrors are bigger than the 04-06 TL.... and the color matched perfectly with the 05, you can't tell a difference at all....

Um... do you have 05 or 06? I have an 05.... for some strange reason, my color matched without any problem.... my sights might be off or they send me a color that matched the year... but for sure I'll take some pix and keep everyone updated

The price that Tim gave us is the best deal I've seen online so far...
http://www.acuraoemparts.com/delray/...All&vinsrch=no
and if you want it in the 200 range, you might have to wait for a not so banged up one for piece somewhere online ~$100 or less and have it re-painted ($30 - $60)... and just get one brand new one from Tim... if you're only buying one Tim just divide the price he quoted by 2 which is new around $160ish painted. and you'll be in the 200 range

It is a good price... Just too rich for my blood. I'll buy used.

It's more principal that anything to me.
Much like the Type-S spoiler tripling in price in one year... These have gone up 30-40% in price in one year. When the 2007 was released, these mirrors were selling for $280.

There's no justifying that increase in my mind (although I'm sure HMC has a great logisitc reason to explain it)...

I agree with you Kennedy... I got lucky and got one banged up 07 passenger side mirror that need to be repainted for a great deal... and I only have to buy one side from Tim... I thought I could install them today but the body shop told me the paint is still wet... so I guess I'll have to have them installed tomorrow... I think I'll let the dealer install them for me... the total i've spend including parts, paint, wiring, and installation so far is around $280

Great find THTL... Saw it... but it's blue... who knows... keep your eyes on it and you might just bag a good deal... if you take it to a decent body shop, they might be able to paint it for you to a color of your liking for ~$50... I already got one from Tim so maybe someone else can jump on this

2!!! I only saw 1 the one listed is not for the TL it was for the RL... the RL one for sure won't fit... the other one is a set offered by Acura of Peoria... with the price they're offering, better off buying the set from Tim... w/ fast cheap shipping... remember, watch closely and don't run up the price good luck

Well fellas, here is the pics of the mirrors installed... I decided to let the dealer install them (~$100 paint, install, run wires)... They ran the wires and installed them clean without having to drill holes and the paint came out perfectly... the color on the one that I got from Tim came out okey so no need to paint that one... and the mirrors are bigger than the old one... took some time to get use to (but it covers more area now)... the tilt function and blinkers all worked perfectly... anyway, enough talk... here is the real deal...

now my car looked like this from the side:

And I got them to install the chrom trim piece on top of the license plate also... some cutting is required for that piece (from 3 screws to 4 screws)

Well, here are the pix you requested Kennedy They did a great job on mine... I stood there watching him install the piece... cut, sand, etc.... it took him <5min.... he also used some double sided tape... the job was quick, clean, fits perfectly...

That's okey... our threads are about information .... Anyway, he cut the 2 screw mount... sand it flat... and used 4 double sided tape in the location he marked where there are 4 plastic contact point from the licence plate holder.... he did not use one big strip of double sided tape... he used 4 separate pieces... so if you're converting from 05-06 you'll have one extra screw left over after the installation.... oh... and remeber to clean the contact point

The entire front is the Type S w/ chrome trims... so basically the only difference (appearance wise) is the head light... everything is the same

Well... He hook up the wires through the fuse box of our car like the 07 TLs... I know he took out the glove box and center console to run the wires to the fuse box on the passenger side... and on the driver side it's closer to the fuse box so it's easier... it was professionally done to the way the 07 have it short of having to buy the entire harness... he is the best electrical guy at that dealership and he will never settle for a half ass job... I'm really glad with the turn out... he also run the wires through the rubber line that connect all the wires in the door harness to the main body of the car so no drilling was done... of course there are easier way to make the blinker work... some people run the line to the front blinkers and just splice the line... those leds require so little juice it won't matter... it took him a good 2 hours on the job just on those 4 wires... I didn't know he was gonna be that thorough... but who am I to complain about a good job, right ... the mounting is easy... inside door panels out, 3 screws loose and the entire mirror just mount on...

on the side note, I'm still trying to get use to how the new mirrors are much bigger than our old ones...
