Grey blinkers '06 TL
Grey blinkers '06 TL
Hi I just bought an 06 TL 6spd yesterday. Already love it. It's stock in the dark grey color. Got the windows tinted the day I bought it, but of course, now begin the mods (little by little... depending how much I can twist the missus' arm).
Can someone tell me how to go about making those awful orange front blinkers grey? (I particularly like Rockyfeller's lights rockyfeller by rockyfeller | AcuraZine.com )
Next will come Rims, grill, and maybe even those little blue interior leds.
Thanks! Look forward to learning from you all!

Changing the bulb to a LED bulb still isn't going to remove the orange color away Truong. He has a base model which has a fully orange diffuser whereas your Type-S is partially clear and partially amber.
Frozenpenguins, to get rid of the amber diffuser like Rockyfeller did you will have to open up the headlights and physically remove the amber diffuser. You can do it yourself or pay someone to do it.
While they are open you might as well paint the interior housing while you are at it. If you look closely in Rockyfellers pictures you can see he actually painted the inside housing of his headlights black.
You can buy new aftermarket headlights like it was mentioned above but those will easily set you back almost $600-$800. You can pay a vendor half that price to paint your headlights

Thanks vietxquangstah for the reply. Once I get them out, will they open easily? Or are we talking adhesives? I'm no mechanic but am pretty handy. An hour or two's work to save $300... I'm into that!
^ yea you'll save some money thats for sure, you'll have to bake in an oven to get them to open up and make sure you seal them back up real good or you'll have some problems. I believe the "pros" seal them up with nissan rubber butyl
