Hey everyone, I'm a new owner of a 2005 TL so I've been on here asking a few questions. This is a great site by the way and I appreciate all of the help. The most recent issue I have is that I have a green symbol lighting up right under my RPM's circle. Its the same color and size of the head light symbol. It's hard to explain what the small green symbol looks like, its got a few horizontal lines going through it. Does anyone know what this symbol means? Its been on since I first bought the car. I appreciate the insight. Thanks again!

means your fog lights are on. same "arm" as the headlight switch but closer to the steering column

Thanks so much, I was wondering what it was because the light went away randomly one day, so I thought it might have been an engine problem. I appreciate the help!

The "RPM meter".... It's called a tachometer, or tach for short. Just a little tidbit.

There is one nice little feature you won't find in the '05 owner's manual about your interior. Did you know that your sun visors extend? Yep, about 4+ inches on their posts. This is not in the '04 or '05 owner's manual and for the life of me, I don't know why.

strike my last two coments...i figured it out, 04-06 the lights next to the headlamps are fogs and the same lights on 07/08 are drl's...

I once said this exact same thing to a Dean of Engineering at an internationally recognized higher educational institution when he couldn't understand why his laptop would connect to the network while docked, but not undocked. I showed him the ON/OFF switch for the wireless card and made my comment. He had not heard of "RTFM" before, so I had to explain that, too. The look on his face was great but my quick apology is probably what saved my job! That and the fact that he knew I was right!
