If it did do all of that, it would be constantly going off for me...over half of the intersections on my route to and from work are among the city's worst for wrecks, and in between them always has cops tagging speeders. Thankfully, red light and speed cameras were found to be unconstitutional in NC (unfortunately, for the wrong reasons, so it's probably only a matter of time before they come back).
Still, the whole thing seems a little far fetched. The concept is simple, use GPS to tell you if you're in an area where X is...you just have to rely on the accuracy of their database of where the X's are.

Just took a quick look at the web site, but it reminds me of the new Escort that will do similar things while also being a radar detector (warning about dangerous intersections etc).
Also just purchased a PSB scanner (radio) that will work with a handheld GPS to set bookmarks, breadcrumbs, POIs (whatever you want to call them) and alert you ahead of time to them.
THIS is what I see the device doing. Has a database of "dangerous intersections" and a gps, then it goes off whenever you get "close" to the point.
Just my 2c....YOU get to decide if it's worthwhile. <g>

I saw this earlier today on a gadget blog. It seems like you have to purchase many things separately. The mirror is separate as is the radar detector and laser blinders. I bet it would cost close to $1k. Not to mention the wiring. It's really geared towards the UK, prices are in pounds.
