My dealer here in MD, Tischer in Laurel, has about 60 loaners, most TL's, and have a couple of RL's, TSX's.... I have had the RL once and a TL 2 times.. THe RL was because we were thinking about getting one, so they wanted to get us to drive it a couple of days.. No RL, wife wanted a damn van.. Oh well...

I've had a 07TLS & RDX Loaner before. You just have to make an appointment and ask for that car.

Very long story:
I got an 06 MDX fully loaded in about June 2006. The battery died in august for the first time. Then it died at my work in august again. The third time it died in my driveway while washing it, had to push it back into the garage September. I had went to the dealerhsip during these events and had gotten bad HFL unit, Then bad battery, then a second bad battery. I went on to a road trip to NYC with family. Nothing had happened for a few months so i thought it was okay. Thanksgiving mornign, I go out to get some stuff out of the car when it doesn't unlock. I said a few bad things at the top of ym lungs that cold ass morning and woke up the neigorbors and my family at 7:00 AM (I wake up pretty early).

We called Smith Town Acura and they got us a tow and gave us a new battery. I had sent the paperwork to honda and the state for being a lemon, and before i left for NYC, they said if it happens again, we will replace the car. SO I was pissed and had a god damn camry to drive during thanksgiving in NYC. When the repair was authorized, I got the MDx, had to wait 2 more days for honda to open up and called my rep. He said that they I should go back to florida and it will be dealt with there.
I drove back furious and dropped the car at courtsey acura. It is now december. I call up my rep when dropping off the keys and go to the Service manager. I tell the rep to tell the Service manager to give me a good loaner, at least a TL. I got a gray tl with navi. I had that TL for about 3.5 months and put some 5k miles on it. I got my 07 MDX at the end of march.... Everyone at the dealership knew about what had happened to me and had been very courteous before, during and after this event. I would say that even though I got mad at them, right to their faces, they understood what had happened and very very nice all the way thru. I would give Courtsey acura and honda an A+ for helping me though this event.

No plans yet, but we will have one sooner or later, maybe November again IF the members in florida decide to show up. You know who you are, we had planned for 50 thats right 50 members and only 8 slowed up, 8!!!!! That was a big disappointment. If we decide to get our asses in gear, we can have one at my new place, it has a rentable hall w/ kitchen so we can have free parking, barbecue and also a 5 mile stretch of straight, flat road where we can have fun. BTW, this by the DAYTONA AUTO MALL so we can all storm in and have an bunch of fun test driving cars ...

Nice. Must be a small or really rich dealership. In San Antonio I have to call a week in advance to get a loner and it's only TSXs. They're pretty fun cars to drive but it'd be nice for a change to get a TL-S, MDX, RDX, or RL.

its the only one that is NSX certified ( I have met the NSX techs and they knew what the hell they were talking about) in florida and also the only one in central florida. BTW, I am sure they get good money as they service a bunch of cars there, like 20-35 cars + the 2 usual NSX's when I am there.

Mcgrath Acura here in chicago has about 60 loaner cars. I never have to call ahead for a loaner. And I usually end up with a RL or RDX. But hey I'm not complaining!

I think the dealers in town here only have a handful of loaners, and they are probably Civics or EL. Things might have changed, I dunno. Definitely no fancy cars.
