Got Some New Toys today...And love the dealership

I got a new toy today. I dropped off my 04 TL and 07MDX for service today and I left with this:

07 TLS NBP, Ebony/Silver

just kidding, I did not buy it, but i got it as a LOANER. I love it, they have TL-S Loaners!!! I got the best serivce when i didn't expect it. If you guys want to know where this is, its courtesy Acura, 1001 Rinehart Road, Sanford Florida. A+ service and they never complain about the 5+ page work orders. The TL-S is awesome compared to the TL and It's better in almost every way. As one of the guys that hated the original red lighting and the rims, when you see the car in person, it is totally different from the pictures. All I can say is wow to the new TLS. If you guys need more pics, just post the pics smiley

BTW, heres both the loaners... And yes, I garage my Loaners.

It so that when pulling in you now where your supposed to be so you don't crash the car either into the side of the garage or hit the other car thats parked there or runin the lawnmower....

I could not belive my eyes as well, they have 2 TL-S's 3 TL's 2 RDX's, 1 RL and 1 TSX. They used to have MDX's but with tthem flying off the lots, they rather sell now. Thanks for the good wished mate, but its kinda hard to enjoy all that power due to slow older folks driving 10 below the speed limit, and because of some idiots on I-4 that are stupid crazy drivers. I wish i could try it out at the daytona 500, but insurance would be killer if i did that....And even if they let me in... Anyone know of any drag strips or tacks near the palm coast to deland area??

What the hell??? I have never even gotten a TL for a loaner before! Just the damn TSX! Who I gotta fuck to get a Type-S?? Hopefully one of those receptionists! I don't know about your dealerships guys...but the dealership where I take my car must have a rule that states if you are not phatter than all outdoors - you need not apply!!

I'm going to put a line like that in my garage...ok when I get one...lol!

It's to the dealers advantage to give out the type-s to regular TL owners. They might hook a couple that will decide to trade in on one. Never know.

Nice! What service was your car in for?

I only needed a loaner once when I first bought my car, and the dealer gave me a mazda 3.

we should hook up some time, and if you need any help with the electrical stuff, like navi hacking and things, i'm usually in ormond, where in ormond are you, near the hunters ridge/breakaway trails/Timber creek area or the other side near the river? I have a few buddies scattered in ormond.

I've had that line since I got the house so I wouldn't kill a car....You don't gotta fuck anyone at the dealership...What courtesy does is use the service loaners for 10k miles and then put it out on the used lot, this way they have constant cars that are already certified with no labor.

I got the acura extended warranty and in that, if you car needs to stay at the dealership for more than 4 hours, you can get a loaner only if it related to warranty work. If you have warranty, as them for one and make sure its free. If not, make sure you ask the price first.

MDX - has a few rattles and the A/C makes a wistiling noise at high speeds, clunking suspension

TL- Rattle on rear deck and the center console (cupholder back) needs to be replaced due to the pockets cutting into the plastic surrounding it.

I get a loaner most of the time, and to top it off, courtsey has this plan that when you buy a car from them, call them when your car needs service and they will pick y\up your car and drop off a loaner

I once got an 05 RL loaner, had it for a few days since acura was back-up with customer cars being serviced, also they had 4 NSX's waiting. I had fun with that RL, there is a Q shaped offramp from i-4 where i live and I took that doing aobut 80 MPH once with that RL. Boy was it fun, and the RL could have gone faster, but my mom was screaming at me to slow down.... Thats the power of SH-AWD

:weird: My cousin who got his TL at 21 got loaners..... THey said all the person needed was a drivers license and proof of insurance and they would give it out... I would ask your stearlship to give you a copy of the loaner agreement form and show you where it states 25 or younger are not permited to drive.

acura doesn't own shit...Each dealer is indipendent and has almost not connection from acura execpt that they buy their cars to sell and also that they send it parts for warranty work and send the bill to them. Thats really it.

This is non-sense. The WHOLE POINT to a "premiere" dealership (i.e. Acura over Honda, Lexus over Toyota, etc) is that you get a loaner ANYTIME one is available. It does not matter if you have an extended service contract or not. It does not matter if it only takes them an hour to do the service. It's PART OF THE STANDARD service and part of what we pay for when we buy the car originally. Calling IN ADVANCE is the ONLY pre-requisite (to ensure that a loaner will be waiting for you when you bring it in). They will tell you while you are making the appointment if all the loaners are scheduled out for that day and you can simply make your appointment of another day. That way you literally drop off the car and hop into the loaner to continue your regular days activities. Sometimes I meet a client for lunch and other times I have simply run a few errands before returning the loaner. Some services were oil changes, some were warranty stuff (like headliner) but in no case was getting a loaned not possible.

This 25 year old issue is really VERY common in car rental business. Often, drivers younger than 25 have a LARGE number of restrictions placed upon them. Usually, anything form needing a co-signer (parent) or significant proof of extensive insurance to...you name it. It's really up to the rental company.

I've often gotten loaners, even once for an A-service. They're usually TLs, but I've gotten a TSX once before. A different Acura dealer put me in a Buick as a loaner once. Man, that was four days of pure suckitude. I felt like Captain Undergarments sailing rough seas.

Sometimes I have to call before a service to find out if my dealer has available loaners. If they have plenty of them, I typically get asked if I would like to drive this or that car (always acura). Plus, they also have I-Pass on all their loaner cars (automated system for paying for toll roads), so I do not even need to swap it from my car, so toll roads do not cost me anything (dealer eats the cost!) when I am in the loaner car.

nope, with the warranty, even after factory warranty exprires, i still will get free loaner cars. Also i get free enteprise cars if the dealership has run out of loaners.
