Congratulations!!! its about time you finally got the car. i know you've been waiting along time for the car. enjoy your new ride. i picked mine up and sat and its just amazing. too bad its gonna snow tomorrow. was hoping to keep her clean for at least a week.

6mtV6 I ordered in February from Rallye in Roslyn. Had a delivery problem with my original order, but they made up for it and took some $$ off my cost.

 

I ordered feb. 28 and I didn't get mine VIN yet. I was told it should be here around April.
Around what part of feb. did you order?

Congrats Narnia!! You'll love the color combo...of course, I'm a bit biased.

 

its rattle and vibration free, but however it does feel a little notchy going from 1-2 and 2-3 gear. i dunno if this is because its brand new but the car i test drove did not feel like this.

 

It will go away, not to worry.

 

That's pretty common when a car is new. As you drive it, you get some wear which makes it shift a LOT better. Don't give up on it yet <G>!

thanks fellas, that was my first guess but when i saw someone post that they brought their car in for notchy shifting i thought i had the same problem.

 

I ordered 2/28 also, and I was told the build date was 3/6 - 3/10. April seems like a long wait, but maybe your dealer had only one car in the color you ordered coming in March that was already sold, so you had to wait for the next allotment?

 

I got my VIN no. today as well, picking her up on Sat.

Considering all that's happened to you, I'm gonna wait for you to say you've actually picked it up before giving my official congrats.

My dealer said I have an additional 2 to 3 weeks wait because of Acura's producing very few of my overall combination, mid April instead of late March. I called around and so did they to see if I could get it sooner. FUGGETTABOUTIT! If I wanted any of the more common colors (Anthracite, Black, Silver, etc), the same car with a 5AT, or the same car without Navi, I could have had it already. No more Green/Camel/6MT/ Navi's being delivered to any dealer until then.


My call to Acura customer service yesterday confirmed this combination to be amongst the rarest produced for the '04 TL. And so far, I don't think there are any on this forum. I might be the only one!

 

My order is a anthracite/ebony 6speed, navi.

 

My build date is THIS WEEK !!!!!

I hear you! I didn't even tell most of my friends because I can hardly believe it myself. But I got a call today from Rallye confirming the time I'm going to arrive tomorrow so everything will be ready for me. Nice touch.

Good for you not compromising on the color. I know it's tempting. I could have had a SSM/Ebony a few weeks ago but I had my heart set on Anthracite. Hang in there - good things are worth waiting for!

 

dont know why but I put a deposit down on 2/2 got a build date of 2/11 was told it would be in on 2/23 and it came in on 2/20. of course wdp/parchment is not rare just awesome.
