Got beat down 502 Camaro.

I ran into this car about a year ago in the GN and put a hurting on him. It's a 502/502 GM crate motor (502hp, 502 cubes) in a clean older Camaro. Back then it had a fake 1.5" exhaust tip and 4 mufflers and I could barely hear the motor running. It was a very nice sleeper. I ran into the same car yesterday and it's very loud, more tire, and has a much bigger cam. We caught a light together and he jokingly asked if I wanted to run. When it went green, I floored it, he stayed next to me till about 40mph and then punched it going a little sideways and splitting my eardrums. Maybe next time when I get my 400 shot of nitrous it will be different lol.

I love how the sound of GM big blocks goes right through ya. You can literally feel the power in the pit of your stomach. I'll never forget the time a transporter rolled up to a popular racing spot and these guys jumped out and rolled off two 500+ cube Novas. These things were gutted, caged, light as hell and definitely not street legal. They lined them up, ran 'em, had them back on the transporter and were gone, all in well under five minutes, but it was one hell of a show.

I have to say it was one of the best sounding street cars I've heard in a long time. I don't know what rpm he shifted at but I would have to guess close to 7K. It sounded awesome.

Do you have any idea what it would run in a 1/4mi?

I came up on a 10.3sec GN the other day and he was crazy.

Nice!

I can not believe how hard it catches when you hit it. It almost sounds like the tranny falls out of the back.

Just guessing I'm sure it's an 11 second car. Definately not 10 second fast. I try and compare it to my car but mine is super quiet and the extra noise and instant power of the big block makes it seem faster.

Yeah, the person I met with the GN wasn't very loud, but you could hear that wastegate.

It was crazy I didn't know they could pull 10sec with only 22lbs of boost, I've seen videos of 35psi GNs.
