Goodbye...for now.
It's been fun guys, but my car was just totaled an hour ago. Maybe I'll come back in a type-s?
Guess we all have to learn somehow.
Thanks for all the help you guys have given me!

I'll probably still stick around, but I think it's gonna make me miss my car more
It was around midnight when I decided to go for a drive in some twisties. My friend was in the passenger seat. Unfortunately, I didn't realize the road was still slippery (it was a -2 degree night (30F) and the turn was sharper than I had anticipated. By the time I hit the brakes to slow my car down it was already too late and I went right into a rock wall. Luckily, it was at an angle so the impact was probably distributed more evenly, sparing us major injury. Somehow I managed to get out unscathed but my friend ended up with a sprained ankle and a cut on his leg.
Engine was smoking and the hood was bent in pretty far. Also looks like the driver's side wheel wasn't on straight anymore - probably bent the axle. I think it's just another testament for our car's safety though
I'll try to take some pictures later when I go to the car lot to get my stuff.

oh man that sucks. Winter in Canada FTL. I have had alot of close calls this winter because of the stupid snow melting during the day and freezing over the night. THen in the morning there is black ice everywhere and you don't even realize it. Type-s would be a nice upgrade or AWD of some sort for canadian winters.

Good thing your okay though!
Shit happens, lastnight some guy in one of the new lancers ripped past me going prob 160 and couldn't stop in time and rear ended the car infront of him...
Darn, and all that time we spent trying to get the rsb in too...
ps: don't forget to take my jackstands out of your car lol

It was on Marine Drive in West Vancouver - was going for a spirited drive which ended up being a little too spirited (I was trying out the RSB) and the stock MXMs combined with slightly frosty roads resulted in this.

I know how it is, luckly i steer out of something similar with my S14, i know the feeling believe me. I've seen guys hit the rocks hard here in the twisties, some easy some not so lucky.
It is what it is, glad you are ok.
