Good window tint shop in Seattle area?

Anyone know of a good tint place shop in the Seattle area? Also, what's legal here? And if anyone had their 04 TL's tinted, what % is it and how much?

LT,

There was another thread on this a while ago...I don't mind repeating though. I'm pretty sure 35% is the legal limit in the state of WA, so that's what most people are getting. Several people on the forum have mentioned Element Performance in Bellevue. A buddy of mine just got his White 04 done a couple weeks ago, and in fact I just called them 1 hour ago and made an appointment for my Anthracite 04!

They currently have a "special" for a full tint job for $169. Supposed to be lifetime warranty as well.

Good luck!

I just called the guys at Element. Yes, it's 35% in Washington. The brand of film they're using for the $169.00 special is called "Madaco". Anyone ever seen or used this brand of film?

Wicked.

xerxes,

When you got your car tinted at Element Performance, did they give you a warranty card for your Madico tint? I had mine tinted there as well but with a sun-gard Endurance film which has lifetime warranty. I found out from the sun-gard website that they require a sungard warranty card and\or the master roll number on the original receipt itself. Just wondering if you got something similar for your Madico film.

Hmmm, no warranty card. When I made the appointment, I verified with Joey (the owner) that it had a lifetime warranty. Hopefully he wsan't feeding me BS. I inspected the tint afterwards...granted I'm no expert but it looks damn sharp. Would definitely recommend these guys. The tint plus the anthracite has gotten many positive comments. Now, if I could just keep the car clean...

I also got mine tinted just last Friday at element. Mine is the metallic tint. I can see quite a number of "bubbles" though but you have to look hard to see them. According to Joey these are water pockets and should disappear when it dries up in 2-3 weeks. Have you noticed any bubbles on your tint at all?

Regarding the warranty card, I believe that you may not be able to claim any warranty from the manufacturer if you have no proof that you have their brand of tint installed. Remember that this is a "manufacturers" warranty and not an "installer's" warranty. I would suggest that you get one from Joey. I am dropping by later there to pick mine up.
