Good painting price?

I'm picking up an RJ kit today and was wondering what a good price would be to get my whole car painted. This doesnt include stock bumpers and sideskirts because i will need them to paint the RJ kit instead

Man the price varies like crazy.

Go around and ask some shops.
Just remember: You get what you pay for.

Just remember if you get a "Good price" it doesn't mean you are gonna get a quality paint job in the end.

500 bucks - 10,000 bucks expect the 500 to peel by next summer with multiple defects in the paint. the 10k job should be better than oem and last longer if they are a good painter. Then you have every thing in between LOL

$3500 isnt a bad price. But the next question is have you seen any of his work?? I would skip the spray on tinted tail lights and save your money and have them done by one of the vendors on here. Look up AckTL05 he does custom ones where he cuts them open and paints them or clears them from the inside. Looks sooo much better!

I repainted my entire car after it got vandalized for 6000. The guy was nice enough to cut me a break but the car came out amazing. My finish is better then the oem finish as well.

That's not too bad considering.

Make certain you clarify it's an RnR job. (Remove and Replace)

This will make a HUGE difference because it means they will fully remove all seals, weather stripping, etc...and ensure you get consistent, clean lines with minimal chance for edge peel.

It all matters about the clear used. You can get by with an average paint. Don't cheap out on the clear. Depends on location really, I can get a good job for less than $2500.

Sorry for not clarifying but my whole car was dissembled and sanded down to the metal. I believe they put about five or six layers of clear coat, and wet sanded about a layer or two off before they buffed it. I have absolutely no orange peel or imperfections in the paint. Also they painted all the trim pieces satin black, including the bottoms of the aspec kit to match.

I haven’t used and sealant yet since the paint is still fresh. I do have menzera final polish back home that Ill be applying sometime. Do you have any recommendations that I could use?

I have a few photos of it when it was in the shop. I only stopped by the shop twice due to summer school taking up a lot of my time. Ill be taking some pictures this weekend after I get my aspec wheels put on. Anyways here are some pictures from my thread about my car getting vandalized: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...1#post13086361
