Some folks talk about Armor All wipes, I personally try not to use anything that has
the words "Armor All" on the label. I LOVE Lexol - easy to use, looks great, smells
like a big ol' fat cow when you are done! But I do not know if they have a wipe or
not. I just use the brown spray bottle.

I have been pretty happy with the Maguire's wipes...just make sure to buff the seats well after application or it tends to be a little too shiny.

I like the Maguire's as well. Lexol does have wipe products, but their cleaner and conditioner are separate products. The Maguire's is both in one. Not ideal for true detailing, of course, but if you're using a wipe presumably you want something fast, efficient, and all-in-one.

Just last weekend, I used the Lexol Cleaner and conditioning wipes on my 1.5 week old TL. They worked very well, leaving the seats with the same color as before, and the seats are very soft. Just use as suggested on the packaging. I got a little nervous after using the leather conditioner because the seats looked splotchy but I did a quick once over with a dry microfiber towel and they turned out great!

I got the maguiars spray and just use a diaper or wicked soft cotton cloth. I tried the creme, of course that was a disaster on the perforated parts, the spray works great for me. Tho if yer not careful you will get it on the center console, just hold the cloth next to the side bolsters when you spray to catch the overspray.

The problem with wipes - any brand of wipes - is that each wipe only contains so much product, and it may not be distributed consistently. If you're doing a full detailing - cleaning and conditioning the leather surfaces of all four seats (or even just the front two) you shouldn't be using wipes at all. You should use a bottled product that you apply to a towel or something like that and then apply to the leather.

But, if you're sitting in your car at a stoplight and you notice a small blotch on the leather, or you accidentally spill something on the leather, the wipes are VERY handy for a quick cleanup and conditioning. They are a convenience product, not a true detailing product. When you're going for convenience, you might as well go for all-in-one convenience, which is where the Maguiar's product (cleaner + conditioner) is superior to the separate Lexol products.

Lexol in the bottle is simple the best, and has been since there were cows.

For best results, rub it in with your BARE HANDS, let it sit, then buff off the remainder.

For real with the hands thing? The reason I ask - and only my wife can relate to this story -we used to see a guy years ago from our apartment window rubbing his hands all over his Camaros leather seats - We thought the guy was wacked or something. Is it better by hand? Do you spray the seat or your hands then?

With the hands - for real. It works MUCH better, and you don't lose 1/2 a bottle soaking into the cloth. It feels good too!

You pour a dollop into your hands, and proceed to rub it into the leather. It soaks in quite well, then you do some more. With your hands you can get it into all the cracks and seams, etc.

(I think this is actually mentioned on the Lexol bottle)

This brings back memories of my 86 Celica GTS with gray leather LOL. I always rubbed Lexol in with my hands, I agree this works the best. I let it soak in and gave it a good buff after. It's like giving your car a massage!

And feel free not to let those slippery hands go to waste afterwards.
