Good deal?
Hey, I'm new here. Thinking of getting a TL or an ES330.
I was wondering if this was a good deal. There was a dealer here that had a Red TL for $19,5 with 36k miles but it's sold.
I'm looking at this one now.

Is there anything specific to look for when I take it for a test drive? Any model related problems?
Thanks

The ES330 is a Japanese Buick...
Are you in the Northeast ? One of the moderators here (Shoofin) is a auto leasing specialist, new and used car seller.
He can pick up a 2007 off lease TL at the local Manheim auction.

I believe the TL has the firmest ride of all FWD sedans in stock form; the trade-off is that it also handles quite well. The ES330 will have a softer, more compliant ride-- and more wallow, more lean in turns, etc.
Beyond that, the TL should be analyzed like any other used car-- make sure everything works (has the Navi DVD installed and working, along with the Bluetooth HFL unit) that it operates smoothly and has no undue wear or excessive damage repairs. When in doubt, have a trustworthy mechanic give the TL the once-over.

man, this is the same position my cousin is in right now. They're both great cars, let me tell you. My dad has an ES350 and I have an '04 TL. The ES is nice and all but there's never any thrill factor to it. The TL is quite refined but also can be let loose on command. I personally like the option of going from a quiet commute to opening the car up in a split second.

Have you driven the two cars to decide if one is preferable to the other? They are FWD cars with emphasis on different traits, with the TL being more performance oriented and the ES being more luxury-oriented.

I've test drove the ES though, it was nice but it didn't have the HID lights or Navi.
I never brought a dealer car to a technician before lol.

Loving my 08 TLS!
Get the TL and don't look back. I use to own an 02 TLS then upgraded myself to a Lexus ES350. Biggest mistake, the Lexus was so BORING and has hesitation issues found in the ES330 as well. At the end, after 12 months agony, I took a huge loss and got myself an 08 TLS and now EXTREMELY happy.

I hope to find a TL-S to drive
The ES kind of felt bland to drive. Very comfortable but boring.

So, I'm now an Acura owner
Got an 06 Silver TL for $19,300 out the door. Would've been nice with Navigation but I don't really need one.
Going to pick it up tomorrow.
