good deal?

i was getting my oil changed today and i saw that the lot had a silver 04 TL A-Spec on the lot. it was cpo and had 52,000 miles on it. the asking price was 22,600, but the sales manager said he would knock-off a couple grand for me, he said 20,500. what do you guys think? yay or nay? the only thing i didnt like was the wing spoiler. could that be switched out for the lip spoiler?

Did it have the 100k extended warranty? I think that $20,500 otd is more reasonable. I've been seeing 04's and 05's on craigslist for $17 - $19k with 40-60k miles.

Define A-spec. Did it have the full underbody kit, suspension, wheels/tires & steering wheel?

First off, if your area isnt already sold out of TLs, You will find a much better deal. Unfortunately my area is sold out of TLs, they went like hotcakes in the summer and I grabbed one of the last ones.

I paid 17k for mine. 20k for a 04 is very steep, especially because 4th Gen is coming real close, once in fall the TL will sell for LESS, If I were you I would wait. But if you cant wait just buy it. Like I bought my TL.

A 4-year old TL should have depreciated by about 45-50% (11-12% per year). Given that you can probably buy a new 08 TL non-navi for about 29k (before TTL), you should be looking at ~$15-16k. IMHO, you should bargain it down by a couple thousands.
