Good

I have an 04 TL with 53k miles on the vehicle. Vandergriff Acura of Arlington, TX is offering a free oil change with any one of the following flushs for $ 119. These include the transmission, brake fluid, power steering or carbon flushs. My transmission fluid was changed at 48K. Which of the other's do you recommend or is really necessary.

I thought that the owner's manual specifically forbits (or at least recommends against) completely flushing the transmission fluid. However, if I was going to pick one, I'd go for a brake fluid flush. But $119 for a brake fluid flush is pretty ridiculous, even if you include a free oil change.

Good Deal or Not

The coupon or ad specifically stated it would be a flush. Do you think it's really just a fluid drain?

The only system I've ever seen that needed a "flush" was the cooling system. And this is only when you let your cooling system go for 150k miles or more (or mix incompatible coolants). Your OEM coolant is type-2 which is good until 120k miles. Save your money, and just get your oil changed the old fashioned way. Then buy yourself a large bottle of brake fluid & some clear vinyl tubing so you can flush that yourself. The job is simple and only takes a half-hour. You will need an assistant to pump the brakes while you open/close the bleeder valves. And make sure to use the tube-in-glass method. Any of those "one-man-bleed" kits at the auto-parts stores are cheap & a total waste of money...
