heyy new too the site...my dad used to have a tl so he had an account.
Getting my license soon and def gonna buy a '08 but cant decide whether to go with the gold or blue??
anyone got any suggestions

I have a 07 Kinetic blue pearl TL-S and let me tell you somthing. No other color that the TL comes in, stands out or turns as many heads as the KBP does. My cousin has a NBP and my friend has a WDP. Theyre always telling me they wish they got the KBP cause it attracts alot of attention. But forget about gold, its whack. Either get KBP or WDP. Those are the two best choices. NBP is good, but belive me when i tell you a few hours after a car wash and the dust is going to show because its black. So take that into consideration also. Trust me KBP and WDP are the two best choices.

 

forgot to mention the reason why KBP in my opinion is the best color as far as attention is concerned is that it changes colors depending on the sunlight. Blue, Dark blue and purple all the while the pearls are shining.

16 or 17 and ur gettin a brand new TL.... i drove a 94 hunter green ford taurus, i personally think black is the nicest, but white is really hot, other than that, not gold...go kbp other than those 2, the S looks nice in kbp.

yeah i was leaning towards the blue. i like the KBP the best also but i cant get the S and the royal is the only blue available on the 08s (i think)

btw does anyone know how the 08's drive compared to the 04's because ive driven the 04 a lot of times

 

If I had to choose between those colors I would choose blue. If it was my car I would go with NBP or WDP. I noticed that you said that you are getting license and that your dad had an account, so you should change the settings to the account so it can be yours.

 

what color is gold, the carbon bronze or the bold beige?

if its a tl-s i say carbon bronze, that is the best color car for those rims.

if its a tl then i guess blue. but i prefer nbp.

BTW- you CAN get CBP in a non-S model.

 

WDP all the way. Second choice NBP if you like to spend alot of time cleaning and have

a garage to wax it in. Blue is nice, but WDP or NBP is what I SUGGEST. IMO...IMO........

 

Which one do you liek better? Me if choice of Gold or Blue, Blue all the way, but check out Carbon Bronze it is awesome, although I checkened out at last second an dstayed with my tried and true Silver.

KBP is sharp, gold has a rich conservative look about it, but it hides dirt. NBP is outstanding. I have DGP which I love, but I don't think thats available for 08.

 

Nothing compares to a nice clean NBP, not even KBP. Gold is just boring.

 

 

For The People Say That Nbp Is The Best Choice. And What I Have To Say To That Is How Do You Feel When You Wash Your Car And You See The Dust Settling On It A Few Hours Later And Constantly Having To Wash It Again And Again. That To Me Would Cause Alot Of Frustration And Stress. And If You Have A Nbp Then Good For You. But You Know Better Than Anybody What Im Talking About. My Cousin Has A Nbp And Everytime I See Him All Hes Complaining About Is How Dirty His Car Is.

I agree. I have an NBP car. I wanted white, but the dealer sold it, then I wanted

blue @ another dealer but they wanted $1300 more then the dealer by me.

They wouldn't do a dealer trade/etc. I wasn't paying $1300 more to get blue.

I have NBP, and will probably be the last,,,AGAIN...White IS MY NEXT color

car...

 

I don't know why some auto makers still offer the Gold(ish) colors. It is so OUT - like, late 90s.

The OP said Blue or Gold...the TL-S doesn't come in a gold color so I guess He is looking at a TL-P which means RBP or Bold Beige Metallic which looks a lil' bit like Desper's color.

Lighter colors are easier to take care of. I've had a handful of dark cars that were PITA to take care of because of swirl marks or scratches. The Gold would be different than the rest...I really like it...just not as much as my White Diamond Pearl!
