Angry God damn thiefs!

So, Tuesday night (Wednesday morning) I went to bed at about 2:30 A.M... I woke up to my alarm going off at 3:30 A.M.! I ran outside, and my passenger window was laying on the ground... Didn't see anybody at all, neither did my neighbor who woke up. I don't have a system or anything! The only thing they could have taken from inside the car was my ipod which was in the cup holder... Which they didn't even take that! The alarm scared them off. So instead of the asshole just breaking the window, they pryed it with what looks like a crowbar or prybar or something... So not only is the window gone, but the side pillar is all fucked up too! After the window broke, it fell down scrapping the shit outta the paint on my door, and messing up the side and bottom molding on the door! It wasn't as much glass cleanup cause of the tint held most of the glass together... I was on the phone with the insurance and runnin around yesterday between a few shops, so I didn't post this yesterday... But my car is now in the shop and I'm waiting for the insurance company to go and look at it so the shop can start working on it. The preliminary estimate said it'd be about $1368 for everything, but my deduct is $500. When I filed the police report, the guy was like, "did u see anybody doin it?" I told him if I did, I wouldn't be on the phone with him! He kinda paused for a second and was like, "okay, well... here's ur report number..." So for one more time..... FUCKIN ASSHOLE THIEFS!!! Sorry guys, I just needed to vent a little!

WTF! Good thing they didn't take anything. Is there a place that can fix your car for the difference? (estimate-deductible) so you don't have to waste your money.

Seriously, this is like the 3rd or 4th robbery on a TL in this forum...economy must be f*ing bad for some people.

Very sorry to hear about that absolutely hate low life thiefs. Invest in a home with a garage. Every vandalized car post on this site is from a car being left outside over night usually with valuables left in it.

lol... If I did I wouldn't be on the phone with you.. that's gold. I hope you get your baby back together like new. Shit happens.. I've had that happen to me twice and my wheels jacked as well. Try to find a shop that will money back some of the estimate.

That sucks. Even if the repair job is excellent...you're still out $500. This is the reason why I would consider installing surveillance cameras if I were to park on the street. High resolution camera to capture the perps in action and ID them.

Man, that sucks! If someone did that to mine, I will chop off his legs and arms and use the rest of his body as a pillow.

some a hole did the same thing to me man!!!

but they used a crowbar on the rear driver side window.....

thieves should get a little more smart and just break the smaller window in the back the lock is right there!

but yea i didnt have paint damage most of the glass fell inside the door

That's an interesting thought.. maybe body shops who are doing poorly because of the recession are doing this to make it look like a break in.. lol..

Man that sux. When my car got stolen my ins gave me $1500 to replace a $5000 stereo. Anytime someone comes into the shop with stuff that is obviously stolen it pisses me off. Like the guy who had the screen from an escalade with every wire cut to 2 inches and the bracket ripped off, losers.

I feel your pain as I had experienced a break in as well last year. Asshole had busted my window, but the tint kept most of it in tact. I didn't have any valuables out in plain sight at all. I had the change tray filled and had pennies in a zip lock bag in the same compartment. Guess what the idiot took?

For those who had guessed the change tray, you're wrong.

Just a little friendly advice on your deductibles for future issues. Consider lowering your comp to 100 or 200 and raising your collision to 1000. Your rates will stay roughly the same or even drop a bit. 500 is too high for a comp deductible; you have no control over theft, vandalism, horny deer etc. If you're a good driver, the high collision figure won't scare you.

same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago on my honda accord. sucks because i'm about to sell my car and get a 3g tl. the guy apparently used a pick tool or something to pry the window out from the car. prying made the window start to shatter into a bunch of pieces, but it was all kept together by the tint. once it loosened up enough, he just folded the window in and stole my radio and ipod. the worst part is that i have a clifford 2 way alarm with glass break sensor and the guy somehow managed to not shake the car and not have the shattering make enough noise, so the alarm never went off. must have been in a hurry, too, because he didn't take my passport 8500 that was there, too.

Yeah, I'm gonna be cleaining all the shit outta my garage because theres not enough room to get my car in there cause it's full of crap I'm holding for other people... But now they're gonna have to find a self storage or somethin! I wasn't as worried about it before cause my neighborhood is mostly firemen, police, and city workers!
