glove compartment gap
I tried to search but without any luck. Is it only me who thinks that a gap the glove compartment is WAY too big? Is there a fix for this? I really do not like how big the gap is when the glove compartment is close.

I guess there is a bit of a gap there. Thanks for pointing it out!! Now I won't be able to sleep until I find a way to adjust it to fit properly
When I first got my TL, the trunk did not align perfectly either.. I made a simple adjustment to that and it looks perfect now.

mine is too big - dealer "realigned" but looks exactly the same.
same shit with my slightly off-center steering wheel. I'm beginning to think "re-align" means "take a 20 minute break and not do anything."

I think the top gap in mine is too large as well, but it's even across the top and the face of glove box is flush with or mates well on both sides. And it closes tightly. This is design--not fit and finish.
If you think the glove box alignment in a TL is bad, check out an MDX. Whoever is responsible for these parts of Acuras needs to get a job with GM.

Several threads have been written on this gap, and it does exist. There is not much that can be done about it because it is the way it was designed, not the way it was assembled.
Some people also don't like the gap on the left hand side of the dashboard where it meets the door.

Didn't you guys purchase "Gap Insurance" with your TL.....?
I requested to have my left side dash gap fixed utilizing my "gap insurance" but was quickly informed the only way they would pay was if I totaled the car?
Whats up with that?? ACS even hung-up on me.....
(Disclaimer - a small attempt at humor..)
I'll admit my left dash gap has bothered me since new, but my glove box fits perfectly.

There is something that can be done yourself if you really want... mine was the same way, there is still a gap, but a smaller one. Of course it still doesnt align with the line on the lefthand side of the glove compartment, but oh well...
anyhow, here is what i did... open your glove box ALL THE WAY. if I remember right, there's a little thing on the right that has to be "pulled" out, and a tab on the left that you sorta need to "bend" the left side of the box comparment in a little to get it past the opening... then, once you do that, let open all the way down. You'll see two screws, take those out. Then, pull that part out a little, put a nut up behind the plastic where the screw holes are (a little tricky to do). Then put the screws back in, passing them through the nuts too. I know my instructions arent exactly great, maybe someone will do it and take some pics...
The thing that also bothers me, is the alignment of the door panel with the dash on the RIGHT side. the door, mostly the aluminum trim, is lower than the dash.

It sounds like what you are doing it using the added nuts to push the glove box up slightly, so it closes flush?
