Cool getting 04 tl

Hi. I test drove tsx first and then TL. I liked TL better.

I decided to get 04 TL that has 5000 mileage on it. The dealer told me that dealer's owner's doctor rode it for 5000 mile.

It's a white pearl with nav and I got it for $30399 including destination, processing fee, and all season floor mets.

Tommorrow I will drive it again to make sure there's nothing wrong.

Did I get a good deal? Or is there anymore room?

Thank you..

That isnt the greatest deal. Depending on your ability to "haggle the dealer" you can get the same car your talking about as low as $33K NEW.

I agree. You can do better than that. If you factor that trade, you're really paying almost $33k... you can get a new one for that or not much more than that.

does it include navi? cause i think you are not getting that good a deal. if that price is after taxes then its ok. but you can get a brand new 2005 with navi for mid to low 33K. to me the extra 3K is worth it for a brand new car that is a year newer. if you just take into account the depreciation value of a 1 year old car it will make up for most the difference.

including destination --- only on new car, not on 04 TL that has 5000 mileage on it

This is one promising thing for us TL owners.....these 3rd gens are holding their value EXTREMELY well! However, as more TLs flood the market, I suspect the cars will depreciate faster due to increased supply. A similar situation has plagued the 2nd gens.

I'd pass on that deal. The car is "Used", and if you were trying to sell it back to the dealer, you wouldn't get anywhere near 30K. Pay a few extra K and get a new car or keep looking for a better deal on a used car.

deal

You should be able to do a cash deal for that better than that amount since they are making planty off that car. Once you drive it out of the show room it loses 5K and that is on an 05. This is an 04. if the original list was 33, then it should be in the sub 30 category. As for the trade in, regardless of the condition, most dealers do not want anything that has more than 50K on it. At 120K the value is next to nothing for the car for the dealer.

The acura places in boston tried to offer me 7500 for my 01 with 82,000 on it. They said edmunds and kelly favor the consumer.. I had to laugh since with high miles on it the car was still trade in at 10k or more in average condition. Of course I had two trannies and the oil jet installed in 04.

Any educated consumer would know that the used value of that car is also based on the problems associated with that design. Given that ask about the oil jet and if it was installed... Play the game

That's not a good deal. I got my 04 TL brand new back in October for less than 33K.

IMO, you can probably get a better deal on a 05 with 10 miles rather than an 04 with 5K.

Smart guy!!!! I don't think you'll get a much better deal. Tell the dealer you want and extended test drive to check for any defects since you never know how it was treated during those 5K.

All the more reason NOT to buy that particular car.

Get a new one, you won't regret it.

I ended up getting 05 while tl with nav. with $2500 trade in I got it for $31280 out the door (including destination, doc fee).

I started from $29500 and finally ended up for $31280. I don't know how some of you guys got it for under 33k. For me getting this price was very tough. Maybe because here Tulsa, Oklahoma, there is only one dealer in town, I can't get decent deal like East coast.

Anyway I am pretty happy driving this car.

Are you sure you mean "out the door" because then that would be a very good deal since it would mean that that includes tax in the 31k?

good choice i would have stayed clear of the 04 because it really wasn't that good a deal. very little peopple have gotten the car for under 33K with navi. most have gotten the navi version for mid to high 33K.
