General opinions on TB replacement

Whats up guys? I'm looking to get other peoples perspectives on changing my timing belt. So I have been stationed in Japan for the last 18 months while my car has been sitting in storage, where they tell me its been started and moved once a month. Its a 06 and has 93xxx on it. I am definately changing all the fluids once I pull it out and I am contemplating changing the tb because I'm not sure if anything could have affected because it was sitting so long it. What do you guys think? Thanks for any input.

battery is probally dead if u left it hooked up, possibly flat spots in your tires, and bad gas....as far as the timing belt they are really easy to do if you have the right tools and mechanical common sense lol...there are plenty of write ups on the internet for the timing belt replacement...dont forget to change the water pump too

Yeah the company that had if for storage was supposed to make sure none of that stuff occurred. They tell me it was started and moved monthly and when I dropped it off with under 1/4 tank gas, then treated it with seafoam but who really knows what happened while it was there. And I would do all the work myself, but I wont have any time. It is a long story I wont bore you guys with. Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it.

For peace of mind, change it. Age is just as important (if not more) than mileage as you're talking about a part that degrades over time. My 07 TL-S only has 54k on it, but went ahead and changed it a few weeks ago. I'm holding off on spark plugs until closer to the 90-100k mileage mark.

And how did the belt with 54k miles look?

OP- you're almost at the point of getting the 4 show up in your MID for the TB. Up to you on whether to change it. Take a look at it's condition and proceed accordingly.

I'm willing to bet you'll be fine waiting.
