Gear Ratio, MPH math?

Anybody knows how to do the math on the New 2004 TL gear ratio in MPH?

i dont know if i found the right formula~
Mph = ( rpm x tire diameter ) / (Gear ratio x 336 )

6 spd manual transmission

1st --- 3.933.....................? MPH
2nd --- 2.478.....................? MPH
3rd --- 1.700.....................? MPH
4th --- 1.250.....................? MPH
5th --- 0.975.....................? MPH
6th --- 0.770.....................? MPH

The formula is correct, if the tire diameter is in inches and the "gear ratio" is really the "overall ratio." The overall ratio = (gear ratio X final drive ratio). Final Drive Ratio for the 6MT is 3.285.

Mph = ( rpm x tire diameter ) / (Gear ratio x final drive ratio x 336 )

1st --- 3.933..........(6800*25.32)/(3.933*3.285*336)=36.66MPH
2nd --- 2.478.........(6800*25.32)/(2.478*3.285*336)=62.95MPH
3rd --- 1.700..........(6800*25.32)/(1.700*3.285*336)=91.76MPH
4th --- 1.250..........(6800*25.32)/(1.250*3.285*336)=124.79MPH
5th --- 0.975..........(6800*25.32)/(0.975*3.285*336)=159.99MPH
6th --- 0.770..........(6800*25.32)/(0.770*3.285*336)=202.58MPH

is this right?

Probably right. Pay careful attention to top speed in 2nd. Lots of manufacturers today are playing the game of getting to 60 quickest, by ensuring that it can be done with one shift.

I will say that in the owners manual, for the SS information, it says to shift from 5th to 4th at speeds below 149MPH, so, it may just hit 150?????

My 96 Maxima with 5spd MT did have a published top end of 148, and I did hit 145 on a track with more pull to come.
