gave in to the devil and stoplight raced bmw

He was a vert 330i 2 lanes going in to 1 over a bridge. from a light. I did not power brake and I also did not manualy shift jsut let the tranny do its thing. He ad racer F1 as his license plate and was driving aggresively( not in a bad way). I could not resist. Take off he got a a little ahead but I realed him in and got about a 1/4 lenght on him. The lanes then shifted into 1 and he had to drop back. I don't condone street racing yada yada but some times you jsut got to. ( speeds were not very excessive I was about 75 or so before shutting down.)

As soon as I read the title I knew that was where it would go, but you got it right also.

BMW 330ci is not a good racer, it's slower than a manual TL but I am really surprised you pulled on him with automatic trasmission....maybe he was AT as well. However avoid 330i sedan in general as they are a lot faster then TL AT.

the new 330ci isn't any faster than a stock TL AT, they are close in 0-60 and 1/4 and trap speeds it is more of a drivers race. that goes for only AT vs. AT and MT vs. MT sotck on both sides.

that's what I am comparing the 255HP 330ci vs. the 270 HP TL. they both put out very similiar numbers, the old 330ci with 225HP can't keep up with the TL. Damn I have smoked 02-03 330i's in my 99 TL with just headers, intake and spacers.

You mean 255 HP 330ci vs. 258 HP TL.

They were most likely stock 330i. I've seen once a modified 2002 BMW330i that was running 1/4 in low 13s.

His car was heavily moded. From what I recall he changed the clutch, flywheel, got a Stage 2 Engine software, High Flow Intake, Free Flow Exhaust, light high performance aluminium wheels and most likely a few other mods but this is what I remember as I saw this guy at a drag strip more than 1 year ago.
Hope this helps.
