If the manual states that my 2004 Acura TL has a capacity of 17 gallons, does this figure include the reserve gas or is there an additional 3-5 gallons of gas in reserve?

 

I dont know the answer to your question, but if I remember correctly running my tank down to "0" miles remaining it will take about 16.5gallons. Then I think there is about 1 more gallon in the system and maybe a tad more in the lines. I could be wrong but I dont think they factor in a useable reserve beyond that portion of a gallon.

 

yes, the TL has a 17 gallon tank.
at fill-up's I only put in 12-13 gallons, this means the way I drive, when the gas light comes on I have 3-4 gallons of fuel left
