hi guys hope someone can help me here . my new tl has on it 1500 miles , it says on the trip comuter that i am getting 13 miles per gallon , although i do mostly city driving i also do around once every two weeks some highway driving . isn't 13 miles per gallon way too little for even city driving ? also i just filled up for gas when the car said i had 2 miles to empty and it only filled up 14 gallons , is something very wrong with my car , or is it because i have only 1500 miles on it ? , thanx in advance for the help

 

Not sure about the 13 MPG, that sounds nuts....as for the distance to empty- the display will say 0 when you still have about 3 gallons of gas left. That is a safety issue (so they claim), and is normal

 

First of all, if you need to get the updated and accurate MPG, you have to reset it every time you fill up the tank. Otherwise, MID would just display the averaged MPG between this moment and last time it's reset.

The MID has two warning of low-fuel. Both of them are not purly accurate, but just tell you it's time to fill it up, for the safety. http://www.acura-tl.com/forums/showthread.php?t=71425 It's normal.

On my 6MT I average 23mpg (3k miles as of today). 50/50 highway city usually. Took a 200 mile highway trip today and average 32 mpg.

drove in the city last weekend and i got 15mpg, this is with 4 people in the car. drove by myself to work this week i got 26mpg. when there wasn't traffic on monday i got 30mpg. city driving sucks, did you have passengers?

 

I got 16-19 in City... Highway: 24-31...
