Gas leak

Going down the interstate & something busted my gas tank. It's a small hole.. what can I get to seal it good ? Or how much would I be looking at replacing it?

Back in the day when I started in the automotive field, I worked in a shop that had a lot of classic's. All of which had steel gas tanks, which we fixed the rust and sealed them. Today, we no longer use metal gas tanks use now use high-density polyethylene gas tanks. Can you use some sort of WB-Weld or plastic weld? Maybe, but I highly doubt it. See back in the days we didn't have Ethanol mixed with gasoline, so not sure if that has any role in trying to fix the tank. The best solution, which also gives you peace of mind that you won't encounter a leak if one of those plastic weld kit breaks, is a new gas tank. Keep in mind, the fuel system on today's vehicles are pressurized so a weld might not hold up. Also driving will cause the tank to vibrate so that doesn't help much either.

You can buy a new OEM tank for $287.56, Not a bad price at all for a tank.

Just make sure you reset the inputs, YEAR and MODEL. I have it as 04 with a 6MT,

Actually all 3G tanks are the same.
Depending on your area, used tanks can be had for $25 up.
