Gas

The idiot at my gas station put regular in instead of premium like I asked. I don't really notice any difference except km to empty on the mid has reduced from about 600 to 400, where it was last fill up.

It probably won't be a problem at all. The engine has a knock sensor so at worst it'll retard the timing to stop any knocking from the lower octane. The car may be a little sluggish until you use up the regular.

Pump you own next time
That's what I started doing ever since last week when a moron let the tank overflow (the pump was apparently defective), and it POURED over my paint for almost 5 seconds!

Unless you're in NJ where pump your own is not even an option. Gas stations are required by law to du full serve only, from what I understand. I've gotten my hand slapped a couple of times when driving down to visit my folks in Philly and I get out to start to try and pump it myself.

I just don't understand what this is suppose to accomplish. Oregon also has this law. Are the legislators saying that average Americans are too stupid to pump gas them selves? Somebody explain.

I pumped regular (1/2 tank only) of regular just because of force of habit. My other cars all use regular. Did not realize my mistake until I sat back in the car. Nonetheless, it is running fine as expected. With the high price of gas, I have not been gunning my TL just for the fun of it lately so moderate driving has not been affected IMO.
