Garrrghhh another scratch!

I was driving my other car in the garage yesterday and the wife was taking too long to get out the car, so I decided to walk around my TL to get into the house. The Acura was parked very close to the garage door, and I had squeeze by carefully in order to not rub up against the car. While I was inching by I felt my belt buckle hit the Acura emblem on the trunk. I immediately stopped moving and examined the trunk. I had a long but very fine scratch on the back side of the trunk. I rubbed it with my finger and noticed that most of the scratch was just a smudge, but there was still about an inch hairline scratch on the right side of the emblem and a quarter inch hairline scratch on the left side of it. Ruined my day. I used some Meguair's Scratch X scratch remover and it did a real good job in hiding the two scratches. You can't even see the scratch unless you are litterally 5 inches from it and the light hits it just right. And even then you have to look REALLY hard to see it. BUT I STILL KNOW ITS THERE!!! URGHHH!!!! Its like every time the car gets scratched I can actually feel it, like the car is a part of my body or something.

I think I have come to terms with a car is going to get scratched eventually, BUT I WOULD AT LEAST LIKE TO GET OUT OF THE MODEL YEAR BEFORE IT HAPPENS!!

Everytime I get a scratch I want to get a new car. I told my wife I will need to get another trunk, and she says I am overreacting.

Its pointless to put pics of it up here, because a picture can't pick the scratch up.

Deep breaths, deep breaths....

And I hope to get my '05 that I bought in May back from the body shop this afternoon (and not for a scratch)
