Yeahh its true.. You pay so much more for a better model for a slightly faster car.. not worth it. Wow i didnt realize they had 330 hp??? But still in my opinion for the money id rather buy a BMW or if i had a little extra cash maybe a cts-v coupe What kind of sports car are you looking into ?

^ i hear you for what infiniti is asking ....you can def get a BMW.......if i was spending that type of money would def be looking into higher end cars such as jaguar's and benz....................that CTV'S coupe is def HOT ...........if i go for a sports car i like the new 370Z NISSAN..............that's putting out about 333HP in a lighter car then the G35 coupe..........i like the BMW 6 series also..............i looked at the camaro before getting the TL but living in N.Y not gonna cut it with any of those cars that's why i went for my reg car first then next i'll get my CAR CAR.............................................th ere's alot to chose from .......................as i said before there's always something better than whatever you get ......

^it's cool not everybody likes the samething ....i liked the camaro because of the .....>HEMI<........i looked at the challenger also ....even the mustang's .....................just throwing out what i was looking into.................i do like the fact that the new G37 coupe's have an option for a AWD sport's model ............but i will have to see ..........if i get a coupe ima need a little ...well alot more than 330HP .................but i will do alot of shopping around when i get to that point ........................as far as acura goes ...i def like the fact they have a balance between luxury&sport..............it doesnt have a bunch of horsepower but it's enough if you know what you are doing with it..........because the handling on acura's are great even stock........the interior most of the time always looks better than the competition for that level of car .......and they are very dependable......

If I was going domestic it would be a Jeep GC SRT8 or a 2011 Mustang GT...For the sheer fact that both vehicles are extremely impressive stock...
As far as MB and BMW...BMW wins hands down...I have owned 3 MB's...C230 coupe K...C230 Sedan...ML350...While great cars unless you go with the E or S series your just paying for a name and some blue tinted glass...I would take an Audi 2 to 1 to anything in the MB/BMW family...If I could find a reasonable RS4 I would buy it up quickly...Hell even an S4 would be nice...I test drove an R8 and those cars are crazy good fun...For the money the A5 gets the win for me if you dont have a family but the A4/RS4/S4...
But those are just my opinions and personal feelings...

Camaros dont have hemi's...They have LTT (V6), LS3, LS2, and LSA engines...Hemi is a mopar term IE Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep...If you really want a fun car with some room look at the SRT8 Jeep Grand Cherokee's...I had one and loved that damn car...With the 6.1L, AWD, and all the creature comforts it was a blast...

I think the "Hemi" name as been exploited to the max. The TL is as much a hemispherical headed engine as the current "hemi" is.

My friend owns a G8 GT, the interior is okay, not that bad But that V8 pulls real nice, you will never feel all that torque driving a V6, and I've raced him several time and I gotta tell you once we get past 70-80 he really starts pulling away from me. The car isn't really me tho, but if you're looking for a V8 sedan, you'll definitely be satisfied with the G8 GT. On the other hand, for a few grand more I'd go for the GXP if I was in the market for a G8, those things are frigging FAST.

After a quick search they're pretty reasonably priced in my area. I found a handful of 08's with mileage in the 20's for $20-23K. Most of the Tls's around here are going for more than that or close to it with 40,50 and 60K miles.

The HEMI name is being tossed around by MOPAR like a whore at a sex addict convention...

Just joined and doing some research on the Type S to replace my Jeep Srt, but own a G8 for a toy.
Alot of people want to bash the G8 since its a GM product, but its truly a Holden. The interior is much nicer than the normal GM products. Not as nice as a foreign luxury car but its a step in the right direction. One of the main execs in Holden came over from BMW and its noticable to me anyways.
It has a great base to build power from. Mine had a 290rwhp baseline which the normal Gt's range from 290-300rwhp. Currently with H/C, exhaust its at 447rwhp/411rwtq on a Mustang dyno. Overall I love the car and for the first time in my life, I'll probably keep this car forever.

The G8 was my first choice when looking. Love the exterior look, and the performance of course But after test driving the TL-S and the reasons for the purchase of a new car I'm very happy we went with the TL-S. Once we get a bit more financially secure I'll get me something that's pure muscle. For now, the TL-S is plenty fast enough, hauls the kids and wife around nicely (wife really digs it) and has all the cool technical features to make people go "Ohhhhhhh, you got that in here too!" I'm a pros and cons guy, make a list of goods and bads, see which one get's more pros.....

I traded my 08 G6 GT in on a 08 TL and it was the best thing ive ever done. I liked the G6 alot and it was good on gas. But it was plain to me. And cheap. The TL has better performance and a nice look and feel. I'm not happy about the higher gas, but I'm getting better gas mileage in the TL at a 23mpg average and the G6 was at 21mpg average. I'm installing a special air filter that will boost my Mpg up to 26. Friend has one on her TL! It's your call. G8 is nice but I prefer TL! But being Pontiac is no longer made it made warranty issues a problem for me and parts on delay. Stick with something that's still on production! And the car lost alot of value very quick!!!

My brother has a G8 GT & I drove it, trust me when I say it will EAT the TL/TLS for lunch & also out handle it too. I wouldn't waste my time trying to go up against one in my TLS. Some of those owners have a Cold Air Intake Kit, Computer Chips etc in those G8 GT's and they easily run in the 12's in the 1/4 mile.

A local GM dealer had a G8 GT on the lot with 29,000 miles and wanted $26,000. I went & looked at it, it had a few scratches but overall nice condition. I thought about trading my 07' TLS with 60,000 miles but passed. I figured they would beat me up on trade-in value, lets say they give me $14,000 well thats another $14,000 finance loan I gotta pay off, besides I paid off my TLS months ago & have NO CAR PAYMENTS CURRENTLY. I know a (Honda) Acura will go an easy 200,000 miles no problem. My TLS has a accident on the carfax report, I got hit the first DAY I brought it home from the dealer. THat would only be an excuse for a dealer to beat me up more on trade-in value.
