From a G35 Owner

Posted - 06/18/2004 : 08:07:25
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've had my car for about 2 months w/1500 miles. The noise is loudest when the sun's been on it and the roof gets nice and hot. I've taken it in twice to the dealership and no such luck in even diminishing the noise. The dealership is going to call a factory engineer to come out and drive the car. It's just pissing me off that a brand new car is doing this. I'm so mad that I don't even want the car anymore. I'm thinking about just asking for my $$ back and going to an Acura.

You sound like the TL guys.

I've noticed that. Personally I absolutely love my TL. It's got a few things about it I dislike, but I defy anyone to find an absolutely perfect, zero defect, works 100% flawlessly 100% of the time, fills my every whim vehicle anywhere at any price. All cars are a compromise of some sort. If it were easy, all cars would look the same, drive the same, be the same mechanical layout, etc. Eveyone has different tastes, likes and dis-likes.
Rant over.

You'll find the occassional rattle post on most boards. It's about the number of posts and the number of different rattles they're referencing. Someone posted a thread from mbworld.org about an SL55 owner with a rattle as if it was a big Ah Ha!. I used to have a C36 and still hang out on the forum. They don't have near the quantity or variety of rattle issues I've seen here. No brand produces a 100% rattle free product but the number of issues reflected here seems pretty high.
